Dinahs POV
After I heard Lauren screaming, I quickly ran upstairs to see what was going on. I quickly pieced it together after I heard the news brodcaster
I turned off the T.V. and started helping Lauren off the ground so we could get to the hospital
After we started driving I looked over at Lauren and she was a mess.
I can't believe I didn't know it was this bad. I knew she was really upset but why didn't she tell me she started drinking I thought she would tell me if things got this bad.
After about 20 minutes of driving we made it to the hospital. Before I could even put the car in park, Lauren was already opening the door and running in the hospital.
"PLEASE I-I- CAMILA" she yelled
"Hi we're looking for camila cabello" I said to the lady behind the desk
"she's on the third floor, room 327. right now she is in surgery but you can wait in there until she's done" she said
"Ok thank you" I said
I picked Lauren up and we made our way to her room
When we got in there, there was a nurse
"Excuse me miss, do you know when she'll be out of surgery" I asked quietly
"Um she should be out in about an hour. If you want I can get her doctor to come in here and tell you the extent of her injuries" She said
"That'll be great, thanks" I said
After she left I sat down next to Lauren to try and comfort her.
"Wh-Wh-what if sh-she doesn't ma-make it" she asked while sobbing
"Hey now stop thinking like that. Our girl is a fighter and she'll make it ok" I trued reassuring her but it was not working
Not long after the doctor came in
If she wasn't wearing her coat I would've thought she was one of camila's friends.
"Hi I'm Ally Hernandez, Camila's doctor" she introduced herself
"Hi I'm her friend Dinah and this is her stepsister Lauren" I said
"Camila was in pretty bad condition when she came in. When she crashed she broke her left leg, her hip, she fractured her collarbone, and she also had to get 40 stitches in her right leg. When she crashed she hit her head pretty hard and because of that she.....is in a comma" she said
"SHE'S WHAT!?" Lauren yelled
"I'm sorry miss, I understand this i-" she tried saying but Lauren interrupted
"NO YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU"
"I'm sorry can we get a moment" I said
"Lauren I know you're upset I love her too but yelling at her doctor is not gonna help anything. You need to chill out" I said
"You're right D, I'm just so fucking scared. She could never wake up again" She said while crying
"I know Laur but how many times do I have to tell you, Camila is a fighter and she loves you. She's not going that easy" I said trying to calm her down and luckily this time in worked
Laurens POV
I felt bad for yelling at the doctor so I went to apologize
"hey um I'll be right back" I said before leaving
When I closed the door I Immediately found camila's doctor
"Dr. Hernandez?" I asked sheepishly
"Lauren. Right?" she asked
"Um yea I just wanted to say I'm really sorry I-I-I should not have ye-" I tried to finish but of course I started crying again
"Sweetie it's fine really I can tell you really love her" she said
"Well of course she's m-m-my sister"I said
"But its more than that. You're in love with her" She said
I looked at her like she had three heads. Did she really just say that, and she is not disgusted by the fact
I guess she could tell by the way I was looking at her she knew I was shocked so she kept talking
"When she came in her phone was buzzing, so I looked at it and her lock screen was a picture of you and her and the way you were looking at her in the photo, it looked like she was your everything and in that moment you didn't care about anyone else but her, and then when I saw you in the room you look liked you'd seen a ghost. I've never seen someone so terrified of losing someone in my entire career, Then when you snapped I just knew this was something more because even her best friend wasn't in the same state you were in and it's ok. sure some people may say that it's wrong and disgusting but you guys aren't even related and sometimes you can't help who you fall for and that's ok. You should never be ashamed of who you love" She said
When she was speaking she really made me see things differently. I always kept pushing my feeling's down because I thought is was wrong to feel things like this but its not.
"she doesn't even know. I was so scared of telling her how I feel I pushed her away, and because of it she started drinking, which I didn't even know I until I found her journal today and this is all my fault. I can't lose her. I-I" I tried but I started crying
"Look I know right now things seem like they're bad but I know, I can feel it deep down that things are gonna turn out exactly how you want. Now it's gonna take time but if you really love her you'll wait and when it's right you'll now, But it's clear you guys have some issues you need to work out so be patient" She said
"I'll wait till the end of time if she asked me to" I whispered but I guess she heard me
"Now that's what I call love. Now how about we go see her" she said and I agreed
When we got into the room she looked so peaceful and beautiful, of course I started crying again
I walked over to her bad
"I know you'll get through this and I know it'll take time, but I'll wait. I love you camila, more than you'll ever know" I whispered into her ear
I don't care how long it takes
I am in love with her
and I'm not going anywhere
