Chapter 3

Yuzu's ears perked up hearing someone above her
"What is it now?" Yuzu asked
"It seems you can't stop killing" The vulture said as he landed on the ground and shifted back to normal. Yuzu looked at him and rolled her eyes
"Is there any trouble out there in town?" Yuzu asked
"Nah nothing boss but what I'm seeing is a wild werewolf killing anyone" The vulture said
"I'm not a wild werewolf...she's telling me to do it" Yuzu said
"Who is this she?" The vulture asked
"Mei..." Yuzu said
"Huh? So she told you to kill him here?" The vulture asked
"Yes..." Yuzu said and stepped on his body
"Well anyways I heard your son was born. Why are you out here?" The vulture asked
"I don't want to talk about it..." Yuzu said
"You sure?" The vulture asked
"Yes I'm sure now shut up" Yuzu said
"Damn okay. You're just upset right?" The vulture asked
"Whatever..." Yuzu said and saw a shadow. She looked up and saw an eagle. The eagle flew above them and it started to dive down flying towards Yuzu. Yuzu held out her arm for the eagle to land on. The eagle landed on Yuzu's arm and Yuzu petted its head softly
"What's going on today?" Yuzu asked
"The Luna Pack lost their Alpha..." The eagle said
"Is there any other Alpha in the pack?" Yuzu asked
"That's why I came here. Their new Alpha is a ruthless leader..." The eagle said
"Oh right...him. Guess I have to deal with him..." Yuzu said and shifted into a werewolf then left running leaving the two and the dead body
"What should we do with this dead body?" The eagle asked
"Let's devour it. I'm starving" The vulture said licking his lips.

"Hey where did Yuzu go?" Matsuri asked
"She had something to deal with..." Shai said
"And decides to leave Meimei and her son. What kind of mother/wife is she?" Himeko growled
"Himeko calm down" Shai said
"I'm sorry but your cousin needs to learn to be with her family" Himeko said
"I know...but there is nothing I can do" Shai said
"Can't you just talk to her?" Harumin asked
"It's not so easy to talk to someone like her. Yuzu may seem a sweet and nice leader but right now...she isn't Yuzu" Shai said
"Just let her do her thing. If we let her do whatever she likes nothing bad will happen...I think" Matsuri said
"You think? Yuzucchi's werewolf can go berserk" Harumin said
"Sometimes...it depends the situation" Shai said
"Alpha Shai!" Diane saI'd
"What?" Shai asked
"The Luna Pack just lost their Alpha!" Diane announced
"What?!" Shai exclaimed
"Please don't tell me that asshole became Alpha..." Matsuri said
"Yeah he ended up defeating him and killed him" Diane said
"That idiot! He's going to destroy the peace between humans and animals!" Shai said
"We need to do something" Matsuri said
"No need" Someone from above said. They looked up seeing the eagle and landed
"I've already told Alpha Yuzu about it. She's heading over to their territory to try and talk to them" The eagle said
"Where was she?" Shai asked
"Somewhere around in town" The eagle lied
"Is she doing okay?" Shai asked
"Yep so where's the little baby?" The eagle asked
"He's inside the hospital with Mei-san" Matsuri said
"Is it a he?" The eagle asked
"Yep and a werewolf. He looks just like Yuzu but has Mei's eyes and a little black hair" Shai said
"Well then I guess I should be going now" The eagle said
"Wait...what was Yuzu doing in town?" Shai asked
"Just some stuff about this guy who she hates" The eagle said
"A guy? Do you mean Lenard?" Shai asked
"Of course. Who else would I be talking about?" The eagle said
"Alright. If there's anything else going on just come find me" Shai said
"Sure thing" The eagle said and flew off
"I'm going to check up on Meimei" Himeko said walking away going to the hospital. She walked inside the hospital and arrived in front of Mei's room
"Meimei may I come in?" Himeko asked knocking on the door
"Yes" Mei replied. Himeko entered and saw Mei in bed while the baby boy was in the crib
"How are you two doing?" Himeko asked
"We're doing okay" Mei said
"That's great" Himeko said
"Himeko..." Mei said
"Yes?" Himeko asked
"She left...didn't she" Mei said
"O-oh um...well I heard she had to deal with the Luna Pack. Their Alpha just died and yeah..." Himeko said
"Why would she leave me at a time like this?" Mei whispered but Himeko heard her
"Meimei..." Himeko mumbled
"Tell me...did she went to town to see...h-him?" Mei asked clenching her fists tightly
"W-well...um...y-yeah" Himeko said pinning her ears down feeling a bit scared of Mei
"Thanks for telling me. Now...I need some alone time" Mei said
"A-are you sure? I mean I could stay-"
"Yes I'm sure. Please...just go. I need to think" Mei said
"Sure Meimei" Himeko said and walked out of the room. Mei growled and pinned her ear back but her ears perked up hearing a soft little mumble. She looked at the crib and walked up to it and smiled seeing her son. Mokuro giggled and smiled at his mother. He reached his hand out and Mei held his soft little baby hand. Mokuro giggled and his wolf ears twitched. Mei looked at his small little hand and saw the Aihara symbol. She looked at his chest and sighed in relief
Good thing he wasn't born with a gem...
