Chapter 54

Shinjo panted heavily as he took a break from his hunting session. He shook his head and tried to catch his breath
"Can't keep up?" Shai asked ruffling his hair. Shinjo's ears twitched and looked up
"Y-yeah kinda...but it's just that our hunt should've ended 1 hour ago" Shinjo said
"Yeah I know but during that meeting the other pack needed more food to feed their own pack members. Yuzuko decided to help them out" Shai said
"Why should we help? Can't they hunt their own food?" Shinjo asked
"They can but we help each other. We take care of each other" Shai said
"Yeah but I still think they should help us out instead of us doing all the work" Shinjo said
"Hehe yeah well let's keep hunting and finish this quickly" Shai said patting his head softly. They both lead the hunting pack going straight for the food. They caught many preys especially big preys since bigger is better. They came back with a ton of food that the animals began to jump around wanting to eat already. Shai decided to hand out a couple of meals for them and eventually everyone began tearing the flesh of their meals until there was nothing left but bones. Shinjo walked back home then headed to the kitchen going to the fridge. He opened the freezer and shoved his head inside it. He sighed in relief and felt the cold go through his entire body
"Again Shinjo? I've told you already not to stick your head in the fridge" Himeko said as she walked to the kitchen to grab something. Shinjo just groaned softly and pulled down head out
"I just need to cool down..." Shinjo said and grabbed some ice cubes putting it inside his pants. Himeko just shook her head and sighed
"Just take a cold bath instead of shoving ice cubes in your pants" Himeko said
"Alright fine..." Shinjo said and walked upstairs going to the bathroom. He shut the door and turned on the cold water. He removed his clothes then stepped in on the chilly and cold bath. He closed his eyes feeling the cold water cover his skin. He shivered slightly and looked at his palm. He sighed and splashed some water on his face
Ahhhhh...finally...the cold water. So refreshing...
Shinjo took a quick bath and got out of the bath. He grabbed the towel and dried himself up. He looked at himself in the mirror and felt an odd sensation. An odd and bad sensation. He heard a laughter in his head and shook his head
"C-calm down...you're just s-sick" Shinjo said as he splashed water on his face. He lifted his head up and saw something odd happen to his eye. His left eye. He backed up and covered his eye. He trembled and clenched his fist tightly
"Th-this is nothing...hehehehe...n-nothing...right?" Shinjo said and kept looking down. He slowly lifted his head up and saw his mother Himeko
"Y-yeah...m-my mind is playing g-games... " Shinjo said looking down shaking. He grabbed his towel covering his lower body then got out the bathroom heading straight to his room. He shut the door locking it and fell on his bed. He rolled on his back and stared at the ceiling
Who should I tell this too? If my parents know they'll worry...my friends don't know how to handle these situations...well...Mokuro and the girls might know something...maybe Mokuro since...
Shinjo gasped and sat up remembering Mokuro's appearance
Mokuro must know something about this thing!
Shinjo grabbed his clothes to go out for a bit then ran out heading downstairs. He stopped as the door opened seeing his mother Shai
"M-mom!?" Shinjo exclaimed
"Woah! What's the big hurry? Oh you took a shower already?" Shai asked
"Uh-uh yeah yeah I uhm...I just need to ask Mokuro something" Shinjo said
"Hehe is someone eager to see their boyfriend?" Shai asked. Shinjo's face redden and shook his head
"U-uhm...well I uh...I'm just g-gonna ask him something" Shinjo said and ran out the house. Shai just giggled and walked up to Himeko wrapping her arms around her
"You smell like sweat..." Himeko said
"Hehe my little chihuahua" Shai said
"When will you stop calling me that?" Himeko asked
"You only said not to call you that in public and in front of our son. Now we're alone~" Shai whispered
"T-take a shower first" Himeko said looking away blushing deeply. Shai pulled away and removed her shirt
"Why not take a shower together?~" Shai asked. Himeko blushed even more and bit her bottom lip gently. Shai pinned her down on the couch and smirked
"So is that a yes?" Shai asked. Himeko whimpered and looked away
"Y-yes" Himeko said as she blushed crazily
"Hehe let's go then~" Shai whispered
