The Broken (Book 1: Broken series)

Waking up...

Kira

It was dark, and so quiet I do not know how to get out or where I am for that matter,

I do not know how long I was there it was as if in this pitch black world time didn't exist, I couldn't open my mouth or move my body,

 I actually felt like I was floating in the air then all the sudden a tiny bright light was there so faint then I heard my wolf howling in the distance,

'kira fight' she said I was confused

'What?'

'Fight kira, fight!' she screamed then she howled again but this time her voice sounded like she was in pain

'Please fight kira' she said in a strained voice

'How?' I asked panicking

'You know how' she said her voice still strain

I was in full panic mode I was worried about my wolf and I don't know what to do then I heard my wolf  howl in pain then I started to panic and tried to move my body

'What’s going on?' I asked my wolf and still trying to move

'Fight' was the last breathless word I heard from my wolf when everything changes and I was standing next to my body looking at the nurses plugging in machines to my body and trying to revive me then I heard my wolf

'Fight kira' I looked up to see her standing next to my body too but she looked like a spirit she looked towards me

'fight' I was pulled back to my body again in the dark place, I started fighting to move I don’t know how long it took me but I started to move then I felt like I was being drawn up like there was a pull pulling me up then I started panicking

'Relax kira, it’s time to wake up, but before you wake up I’m going to give you this' then my wolf appeared with a jaded rock in her mouth

'What’s this?' I asked after I got it

'When you wake up it will be tattooed on your palm, it’s to protect you’ I nod then the pull was getting stronger

'go' she said and I finally let go and go with the pull, it was going so fast it was like I was swirling then I opened my eyes and took a long breath of air

 It was as if I was suffocating, I felt something in my mouth it was sort of choking me so I held it and slowly pull it out while gagging  

When I pulled it out I looked at it and it was a breathing tube I threw it on the floor and then proceed to look at what else I was plugged in me

 I saw a lot of different kind of wires and machines in my room I was about to pull them all when a nurse came running in followed by Amy and my family

"your up!" said the nurse then she walked to my bed side and started checking the machines I looked at Amy and my family they all were smiling and had teary eyes then all the sudden Amy jumped on me

"Omg your back!" she screamed while crushing me

"Cant...Breath" I said then she lets go smiling apologetically

"Sorry" I smiled

'it’s ok!" my family turn to hug me they all said how glad that I am up and started saying that I’m going to have a stress free place and how im gonna take time away from school, as much as I liked that offer I couldn't accept it

"no mom, im going to school im fine"

"no your not, your gonna stay home and relax" I sighed

"Mom I’m fine," I said trying to tell her how I felt and I felt fine, actually, I felt great, there was that little pain in my heart but I felt great

"i'll believe it when I see it" she said then right on cue the doctor walked in

"hello everyone" he said smiling then walking towards the nurse looking through some papers

"well it seems that she is fine, she recovered great" then she looked at me

"that is one strong wolf you got there" I didn't say anything

I stared at him there was something about him that look very familiar, he had brown hair, blue eyes and his facial structure was just beautiful, he was fit too, but it was how handsome that made me look at him that long, it was like I met him before

"do I know you?" I asked he looked at me and smiled

"well of course im your doctor" he said amused but there was something hidden in his tone I just nod but not letting it slide

"you are good to go home anytime, and dont stress yourself out" he smiled then the nurse grabbed my arm to check my pulse then stopped

"doctor" she said then everyone froze the doctor looked at the nurse who was still staring at my hand then he frowned and moved closer to look at my hand

"was that always there?" he asked while running his finger on the now jaded tattoo on my hand

"yes" I said then my mother said no so did Amy I looked at amy with my face telling her to agree with me

"oh yeah I forgot we got matching tattoo's" then she held up her left arm since mine was on my right and it was turquoise flower same as mine but different color the doctor looked at amy's then nod

"ok then I hope you get well" then he say his farewell to my family and left the room with the nurse behind him

"you got a tattoo and not tell me?" my father asked mad

"I thought it was cool to have one and it my birthday" I said giving him the puppy dog look his always a sucker for it, he sighs

"Fine but next time ask me first" I nod and smiled

I turned to Amy and gave her an appreciated look she just nods.

For the last hour we got ready to go home and my brothers, mate went home, and my parents were signing release papers and some, so it was me and Amy in the room getting ready

"So I have something to tell you," she said sitting on my bed while I was in the bathroom changing

"And what’s that?" it was quiet for awhile

"I sort of hit silo and threaten him" when she said his name I froze but only for a second then I put my shirt on after I did my belt and walked out I didn’t say anything

"And also" she said and I put the hospital gown in one of the bins and turned to look at her

"We sort of made a deal" I walked up to the bed and sat beside her

"What kind of deal?" she sighs

"he came after I threaten him and he we going on about what a mistake he did and that he wants to make it right, but I told him that I wouldn't let him go near you, then he started crying and begging me, so I told him that it was up to you if you give him a chance then I will let him near you but if you refuse then I will do everything in my power to stop him" she took a deep breath I looked at her wondering how lucky I was to have a wonderful best friend then she smiled sort of unsure

"Does he know your part witch?" I asked my face calm I am calm

"not yet though he has seen me use my magic” she said frowning, I smiled

"Thank you" she looked at me confused

"For what?" I laughed

"For being my best friend and looking out for me" she smiled

"No problem...wants to get out of here and go grab some food?" I smiled

"Please!" I said dramatically and she laughed

"Oh man I missed you" she said and put her arm on my shoulder

"And I missed you too!" I said also putting my arm on hers then we both laughed after we calmed down we walked out to go get some food.
