Instincts...

He slowly lifted his head looking at his friends dead on the ground and he froze, I gave out a low warning growl and he turned my way then he shifted to his human form, he was naked and blood covered his body but he was already healed, he quickly cower away from me more into the tree trunk

"ple-e-ease don’t hurt me," he said stuttering

 I looked at his shaking body and decided to talk to him in my human form so I slowly walked towards him and he cowered even more then silo said through the mind link

'Don’t go near him' then he growled

I of course ignored him and shifted the thing about female wolf when they shift they still have clothes on so I wasn't shy about shifting to my human form, but to male wolf when they shift they are butt naked, I slowly walked to the rogue and all he did was hide his face in the tree trunk

"I won’t hurt you" I said softly and reach out to him I heard a growl and I knew it was silo I blocked our link so I wouldn't hear him complain the rogue looked at me still scared he looked to be about 15-16 years old

"What’s your name?" I ask and he looked at me still scared but answered

"Mike" I smiled

"My name is kira," he didn’t say anything more

"Why are you with them?" I ask while motioning my head towards the dead rogues he did not say anything but move his head in between his knees; he was shaking due to being freaked out

"I promise no one will hurt you," I said and again I took my hand and reached out to him

"take my hand and I will make sure you’ll be taken care of, I promise" he lifted his head and looked at me to see if I was lying but I wasn’t, I gave him a warm smile he looked behind me

"don’t worry about them, they won’t harm you not if I’m here to protect you" I said and he looked at me again then slowly he moved his hand then he put his in mine and I gave it a little squeeze to assure him that he was fine, then I rose and he slowly rose too

'What are you doing kira?' asked the alpha

'I’m simply doing what my instincts tell me' I said then I held him in my arms and slowly turned around

'His a rogue' he said again

'Not to me' then I knew that it was not official that I wall take care of him so I said aloud

"I Kira Rae Joseph take full responsibility of mike" I heard a growl from silo but again I ignored him, they all shifted and silo started screaming at me

"What the fuck are you thinking? Huh? his a fucking rogue!!" then he was walking towards us and I felt mike's fear and I stood in front of him and let out a warning growl

"Don’t you dare growl at me!” he screamed then the alpha spoke up

"Silo she has made her decision let her be" he turned around and screamed at his father

"I do not agree with this, you can’t accept it!” his father just calmly said

"I have and it is done" then he turned around shifted and went back so did most of the wolfs except Amy and silo, I was still standing in front of mike protecting him

"This is not over" he said to mike then he shifted and ran out of there pissed Amy looked at me

"Why are you pledging to protect him? You know how that works," she said still confused and mad

"I know how it works Amy and I don’t know, I just looked at him and knew I had to save him" I said turning to look at mike, there was something in his eyes that was drawing me in like a force, I don’t know how to explain it

"Are you sure you want to do it?" Amy asked I was still looking at mike when I answered

"Yes" then I heard her sigh "fine then, I Amy Nina Knight take full responsibility with Kira Rae Joseph to mike" I turned to look at her shocked

"What I’m just simply doing what my instinct tells me" she said mimicking me then she smiled I laughed after I saw her smile

"Thank you" she just nod

"Well mike I guess you'll be stuck with us from now on!" he looked scared but we assured him that we are now his protectors, he clam after that

"Well let’s get you to our house and get you cleaned," said Amy with a grimace face I laughed

"and also feed you, you must be starved" he didn’t have to say anything cause his stomach was growling then me and Amy started laughing, then we heard someone chuckle and we were surprised to see mike smiling with us

"I can tell that we are going to be great friends!” I said to him and he gave me a genuine smile then we started walking towards the house, while we walked, we asked some simple questions to make him comfortable with us.
