Short phrases in English

Hello everyone! I have been gone for a while, but I am back with a new topic.

As people learn English many times short phrases are hard to learn especially since people use slang. Here are some short phrases to help:

How are you doing today?- This phrase is used multiple times a day in many different ways. When someone asks you this question they are wondering how you are and how you are feeling.

Nice to meet you- After meeting someone this is something you say that basically says "I am glad to meet you"

How is your family?- When someone greets you and both of you know each other well then you can ask them how their family is.

Some questions to start off a conversation or "ice breaker" questions could be....
What is your favorite color?
Do you like dogs or cats?
Which do you prefer... the city or the country?
Do you go to school?
What is your favorite sport?
Do you like to travel?
These are some questions (that I can clarify the meaning to in the comments if you are confused) that can be asked to start a conversation off in English.

As you move through English the sentences can get more complex. Once this happens some of the easier information can be hard to remember, but here are some suggestions that will help keep those phrases, words, and sentences fresh.
•Practice some flash cards daily that contain easy terms
•Watch some easy videos in English such as the basic verbs and vocabulary
• sometimes reading easy books can help refresh your memory
•Getting a language learning app can help you retain information and also learn more
