Hello everyone I am back again! Hopefully everyone is doing phenomenal. This part is going to be on basic vocabulary that is used in the house. Some of these words are used regularly in everyday life but other words might not be used often. I will separate each of the vocab words into sections for each part of the house.
Kitchen (where all the cooking happens)
• stove or the oven (where you cook food and bake cakes and sweets)
•Refrigerator (the main place for all the food that needs to be kept cold goes)
•Freezer (The place where all the frozen food goes)
•Spoon 🥄
•Fork and knife🍴(fork is on the left and knife is on the right)
• bowl 🥣
•Plate 🍽 (thing you eat off of)
• Cup 🥛 or glass
• Cabinets (The utensils and spices and pastas and all that stuff is usually placed either in the cabinets or in the pantry)
If you hear the word "pantry" it is usually referred to as the closet type area in the kitchen for snacks and just stuff like that
• Dishwasher (commonly used to clean dishes)
Living Room (People gather here to watch tv and have family gatherings)
•Television 📺
•Sofa or couch 🛋
•coffee table (place to put drinks on or newspapers)
•lamp
Dining Room (place to eat dinner)
•table
• chairs
Sometimes people have some decorations in their dining rooms or china cabinets filled with some fancy glasses and tea cups
Bathroom
•sink (wash your hands here)
•shower/ bathtub 🛁
•toilet 🚽
• Toilet paper 🧻
• shampoo 🧴
• bar of soap 🧼
Bedroom
•bed 🛏
• dresser (place to store clothes)
•closet (hang clothes here on hangers)
•nightstand (Place lamp and alarm clock on top of here next your bed)
Attic
Usually people can have a room up here but most people just store like Christmas decorations up here and maybe some old furniture they don't need.
Overall, I thought I would make some basic vocabulary words so people can practice them and then maybe I can form some sentences later on so people can learn how to use the words with verbs and all that stuff.
