You and Peter have been good friends your whole life.He tells you everything,even him being Spider-Man.You always thought he had feelings for you like you had for him.But you were wrong.You found out Peter was going to homecoming with Liz,your heart broke when Ned told you,he knew how much you liked Peter and felt sorry for you.
The night of homecoming came,you didn't even feel like going but you got into your dress and started to get ready.You wore a long red dress that was lace at the top.You made your way to school and got there to see Ned waiting for you outside.
"Hey y/n,you ready?" He asked you
"Not really" You say looking at the ground trying not to get upset
"Hey,it will be fine don't worry" He says to you as he grabs your hand.You look up at him and smile.
"I got you this" He says,you see him bring out a corsage from behind his back.
"Aww Ned" You say as you take it.You hug him and you both make your way inside.
You get in and look for Peter,you see he's not there yet and make your way over with Ned to MJ.You grab a drink of punch and start talking to MJ and Ned.A while later your eyes go to the door and you see Liz come in but not Peter but after a couple of minutes you see him come in.Your eyes both connect,he gives you half a smile but you look away it makes you too sad to look at him.You see him go over to Liz and that just breaks you.
"I'm just going to the bathroom,I'll be right back" You say to Ned and MJ.They both nod and see that your upset.You run out of the hall and make your way to the bathroom.When you go in the tears start.You rest your arms on the sink and put your head in your hands.You look up at the mirror and just look at yourself.You would never think a boy would make you cry but because you care so much about Peter it just hit you a lot.You grab some tissues and wipe your mascara streaming down your face.You fix your makeup and start to make your way out of the bathroom.When you open the door you see someone run past,you look and see its Peter.You go in the direction of the way he was going and try to catch up to him.
You go through the back door and into the bus park to see Peter in his suit lying on the floor.A guy with a weapon on his hand punches him which flings Peter into the bus.You wonder why Peter isn't fighting back and see his web shooters lying on the floor next to his mask.You grab one of them and shoot it at the guy,it attaches onto his weapon and both peter and him turn around to look at you.
"Nice shot" Peter shoots as he pulls the web shooter to him and punches the guy and then webs him to the bus.He runs over to you.
"Y/n are you okay?" He asks you,you don't reply,the emotions are going through your mind.All you can do is wrap your arms around him.He wraps his arms around you and looks at you.
"What's wrong?" He asks you as he can see you've been crying
"Nothing it doesn't matter" You say as you stop hugging him and turn to go back into school.You feel his hand grab yours and he turns you round so your facing him again.
"Tell me y/n" He says
"You want to know,okay.I like you Peter like more than a friend and seeing you with Liz makes me so upset and hurt.Do you not like me like that?" You shout at him he looks at you shocked and confused
"To think I thought you liked me like that" You say.Before you can say anything else Peter pulls you closer to him and kisses you.It shocks you at first but then you kiss him back and wrap your arms around his neck.
"I like you too y/n,I'm just confused okay" He says to you
"Okay" You say to him
"Look I gotta go but I will talk to you tonight about this" He says
"Okay,be careful" You say,you kiss him again before he runs off.You smile and then turn around to see Ned standing there smiling.You smile at him and laugh.
"Is that my two best friends getting together now?" He asks you
"Hopefully" You say before you and Ned both walk into school again making your way back to homecoming.
