trains. planes. cars. all were modes of transport used to bring the selected to the grand illéan palace. the mode of transportation simply depended upon where the selecteds were coming from. regardless, 25 identical black SUV's pulled into the palace gates one by one at 3 pm sharp. the selected had arrived. the selection would commence.
the selected clamored out of their cars, all gazing at the tall peaks of the castle. suddenly, a blonde appeared, walking out of the grand double doors of the palace. she descended the steps, walking up to the selected who had gathered in front of the palace.
"hello everybody!" the blonde called out, a wide smile on her face. "i'm grace westbay, head advisor and administrator of the selection. i'd like to be the first to welcome you to the castle, where you'll be staying for the duration of the selection. if you'll all follow me, i'll show you in."
without another word, grace turned on her heel and led the selected up the steps. two guards opened the large doors to the castle, and grace walked in, her heels clicking with each step.

once grace had led all the selected into the entry hall, the doors were closed behind them. grace looked back at the selected once more, a grand smile on her face. "as we speak, your luggage is being brought to your rooms," grace informed the group. "we'll let you get settled in soon enough, but first, the interview."
grace chuckled softly at the murmur that went through the crowd and the concerned looks that crossed a few of the selected's faces. "don't worry, guys. it's just an informal interview so that the princesses can get to know the basics about you! your names will be called, and you'll be escorted to the interview room. good luck!" without another word, grace westbay was walking away, disappearing down one of the ornate halls of the castle.

— the princesses will be interviewing each selected! — don't start the chains, i will start the chains for each selected — don't post a starter, that's what i'm gonna do — y'all have got until midnight (pst) thursday to comment a response of any sort to the chain (just to show me you saw it), or else it'll be elimination unless the circumstances are discussed beforehand — your selected can ask the princess which one she is, but she probably won't tell unless you're very very persuasive — the princesses' outfits are shown above — i'm super excited for this chapter — each chain is going to be short, there's only a few questions, so unless your selected is wildly interested, this chapter should not take long — the next chapter is where things get wild ;)
