June 1st, 1944,
I told rose the choice I have chosen and she wasn't happy she broke down in tears. I felt sad and scared but also patriotic I knew what I had to do and that is to save France from the Nazis.

Two hours later of spending my last time of freedom until I go to the army was frightening but the time came and so I left the house with my army gear and got in my good friend Jack's car and we were on our way.

June 3rd, 1944,
We got the army came on the edge of Britain ready to set off to France. We were all terrified especially when we picked up our rifles for the first time. We were expected to leave on June 5th so we had time to train but I don't think the training will work I guess there's one way to find out.
