A/N I started this last year but I only got around to finishing it today. I only just realized how similar it is to my most recent poem "What's Real?" I admit it was slightly inspired by that at least the first two stanzas of this poem was.
The human brain is an enigma
Emotions are merely coded messages
They're all puzzles waiting to be solved
But
Thoughts are an organised mess
They come and go
They betray your deepest desires
They deceive, consume and destroy
I must be cautious
I can't lose myself in them
As I think this over
My vision is taken over by static
A mixture of shattered black and white
A sudden ringing
All too late I realize
I've become lost in my own labyrinth of thoughts
