A/N I started this last year but I only got around to finishing it today. I only just realized how similar it is to my most recent poem "What's Real?" I admit it was slightly inspired by that at least the first two stanzas of this poem was.

The human brain is an enigma

Emotions are merely coded messages

They're all puzzles waiting to be solved

But

Thoughts are an organised mess

They come and go

They betray your deepest desires

They deceive, consume and destroy

I must be cautious

I can't lose myself in them

As I think this over

My vision is taken over by static

A mixture of shattered black and white

A sudden ringing

All too late I realize

I've become lost in my own labyrinth of thoughts
