When you're with someone else
When you get the opportunity to spill out all your emotions
To finally burst the over-filled bottle of messed up feelings
Wouldn't you want to keep going?
To really let them know how you've felt all this time
You're body knows this
So does your mind
So it doesn't stop the river of tears
All the things you want to say, but can't
Are spoken through a seemingly endless series of sobs
Because in the end, you cry
Not because you're just that happy
Nor because you're sad and upset
No,
You cry because of the pain
The pain of keeping everything together
The pain of keeping yourself together
The pain of overwhelming emotions that just can't be explained
Emotions that won't go away
The pain of hiding
So when given the opportunity to come out
To show every single thing you have felt
You would allow those tears to continue flowing
Allow yourself to scream out all your grievances
And it feels . . .
Concluding
Like finishing a book
After many aggravating events
Heart stopping cliff-hangers
And unanswered questions
You finally finish
It's not always satisfying
Yet
It is fulfilling in its own little way
And, I suppose, that's simply what life is
A novel
