Chapter 19

"Mmh?" Fan Hui slowly fluttered her eyes open. She stretched her arms out as she reflexively yawned.

She looked at her bedside table to check whether her alarm had gone off yet.

"Where's my alarm clock?" Fan Hui mumbled in confusion.

Fan Hui sat up and looked around the room.

'This isn't my room.' Fan Hui wrinkled her eyebrows in confusion.

'Did I sleep walk again?' Fan Hui wondered.

She tried recalling her memories, but all she could remember was that she had a deadline coming up in a few days.

She groaned as she contemplated getting out of bed or lying on her bed until her editor yelled.

'Oh, right, not my bed.' Fan Hui remembered. She reluctantly got out of bed despite the fact that the bed was so comfortable and practically calling her name to get back in.

She walked around the room trying to figure out who's room she was in. But honestly she was just snooping around for the hell of it.

'No dirty magazines? No mess or clutter? Yet, no girly items either?' Fan Hui questioned the identity of this mysterious person's room.

'Tch, not even a diary or any notes lying around.' Fan Hui clicked her tongue in disappointment.

She looked in the closet, but there were barely any clothes, just a few t-shirts and pants.

'Boring.'

So she finally ended up with one option left; open the door and see whoever the owner of the room was.

She slowly opened the door as to not alert anyone.

She could see a blond hair, blue eyed boy sitting on a couch reading a book.

'A foreigner?' Fan Hui was very confused.

But she had to admit, he was pretty cute, though too young for her taste, after all she'd be 22 this year and he looked like he was 16.

'Should I introduce myself?' Fan Hui pondered.

"Oh? Are you finally awake? How are you feeling?" The boy asked politely.

"Um, fine, thank you." Fan Hui suddenly realized that her voice was 100% different from her normal voice.

'WTF?! Why is my voice high pitched and angelic?' Fan Hui questioned.

'Am I dead? Is this heaven? Now that I think about it, he does look like an angel.' Fan Hui thought.

"In case you're wondering, you're not dead." The boy said while lightly laughing.

"Oh."

'So this boy's a mind reader?' Fan Hui nodded her head.

"I'm not a mind reader either." The boy laughed.

'...Are you sure about that?' Fan Hui questioned.

Fan Hui coughed to ease the awkward moment.

"Sooo. Where am I exactly?" Fan Hui asked while still behind the door.

"Why don't you sit down first?" The boy motioned towards the seat next to him.

"Uh, okay." Fan Hui was caught off guard.

Fan Hui slowly walked towards the couch, but stopped before sitting.

'Do I sit next to him? I mean this is the first time we've ever met. But it would be a little rude if I didn't, he did motion next to him after all. But there's also a couch across from him.' Fan Hui struggled with choosing a seat, she cursed her social anxiety.

"What's wrong? Sit down." The boy patted the seat next to him.

'Oh god, now I have to sit there. It's okay Fan Hui, he's only a kid, it's fine.' Fan Hui gave herself a pep talk.

She seated herself next to him, but somehow managed to accidentally sit down on his lap.

'F**k, kill me now.' Fan Hui mentally cursed herself.

She was about to stand up and apologize profusely but unexpectedly she was held down by a pair of arms snaking around her waist.

'Da hell?'

"Wifey, you're very proactive this morning." The boy chuckled.

"W-wifey?" Fan Hui said with confusion, but then she thought about it.

'I must of just heard it wrong, silly me, he's just a kid, how could he get married anyway?' Fan Hui mentally rolled her eyes at her foolish thinking.

"What's wrong? Do you still not feel well?" The boy put his hand on her forehead to check her temperature.

"Hahaha, I'm sorry, I just thought that you said wifey for a second!" Fan Hui laughed.

"You can let me go now, I'm sorry for accidentally sitting on you." Fan Hui smiled.

"Wifey? You didn't hear wrong, you are my wife, and I'm your husband." The boy tilted his head in confusion.

"What? Is this a prank?" Fan Hui looked around the room trying to spot a camera.

"It's not a prank, did you forget our marriage?" The boy looked at her with so much pain in his eyes that it physically hurt Fan Hui.

She felt somewhat guilty, so she wanted to say that she didn't, but she also didn't want to lie to him.

"Listen, I'm 22 years old, you look like you're 16, you shouldn't mess with adults like this." Fan Hui removed his arms from her waist as she stood up.

The boy looked at her with an expression that said, 'You've got to be kidding me.'

"Wifey, I think you really are still sick, we're robots, we don't age." The boy pulled Fan Hui back into his lap.

"What?"

"Though, If you really want, I could change my model into a more mature one. You said you wanted the early twenties?" The boy closed his eyes and Fan Hui watched as he instantly changed into a man.

"How is it? Better?" The former boy asked.

Jaw dropping in surprise, she could only respond with, "Yeah, it's better."

Fan Hui slowly processed the information, 'How the hell does he look so handsome? Now that he looks older, he's a walking hazard! Like are you trying to give me a heart attack? You're telling me that I'm married to him? Hell yeah, jackpot!'

"So, uh, h-h-hubby, what's your name again?" Fan Hui awkwardly scratched her neck. But for some reason, she felt a strange sense of familiarity from calling him hubby.

...He didn't respond for a while.

'Sh*t did I move too fast already? Was it too rude to ask his name when we're supposedly married? Was I not supposed to call him hubby?'

But thankfully he did end up responding.

"Qing Shang, that's my name." Qing Shang smiled as he buried his head into her neck.

"Wow, that's some fast acceptance, Fan Hui." The author sighed.

"Who are you?" Fan Hui asked.

"You forgot about me?" The author felt betrayed.

"You literally made me lose my memories, don't act innocent." Fan Hui critized the author.

"Heh heh... Whoops?" The author ran away from her responsibilities.
