Chapter 26

Just as the group was running out of patience trying to figure out who the hacker was, Fan Hui abruptly chimed in, "Want me to help you guys out?"

Everyone except for Qing Shang looked at her incredulously.

Qing Shang looked at Fan Hui with an all knowing smile, "Go ahead wifey."

The men in suits all had their jaws drop. They were so shocked that they didn't even register Qing Shang calling Fan Hui 'Wifey' so blatantly.

One of the men coughed, "Young master, don't you think that you're being a bit rash?"

Qing Shang merely glanced in his direction, "Are you doubting my judgement?"

The man scrambled to answer, "N-No of course not! I wouldn't dare! I wouldn't dare!"

"Then it's settled." Qing Shang said with a tone of finality.

Qing Shang and Fan Hui casually walked away from the group as if nothing happened.

"So why did you hack into the database?" Qing Shang said as soon as they were out of earshot distance.

"For fun." Fan Hui said without hesitation.

"Is the VR game I developed not fun enough?" Qing Shang asked.

"Eh, it could be better, you should add an anti bullying system." Fan Hui said.

Qing Shang looked at Fan Hui with a cold glint in his eyes, "Did someone harm you?"

Fan Hui acted like a proper white lotus and gently nodded her head. Needless to say, Fan Hui had already perfectly mastered the white lotus look, within an instant she had a dainty pout on her lips with wet eyes that upturned at just the right angle to clench people's heartstrings.

"Your poor little wife was ganged up on by a bunch of mindless fanatics!" Fan Hui said while dramatically wiping the corners of her eyes.

"I'll kill them. Don't waste your tears on them." Qing Shang coaxed Fan Hui despite knowing full well that Fan Hui was merely acting.

Fan Hui stuck out her tongue playfully, "Even if one of them is your mistress?"

The corners of Qing Shang's mouth turned down in displeasure and his eyebrows instantly furrowed.

"Mistress?"

"Yes, I heard all about it, I even heard she confessed to you in a remote location for extra privacy..." Fan Hui sniffled while holding up a small white handkerchief that she got from who knows where.

Qing Shang quickly pulled Fan Hui into his embrace and gently kissed the crocodile tears on her cheeks away.

"I didn't accept, don't cry." Qing Shang caressed her cheek with his fingertips.

Fan Hui looked up at his face through her blurry eyes and had a single stream of thoughts, 'Wow, truly handsome and caring even when he's against a liar like me. Maybe marriage isn't such a bad idea after all. Especially when he can cook, he also willingly puts up with all of my nonsense, and he always ends up being in a high position of power in every world. Eh? Now that I think about it, why would he want to marry me? He doesn't gain anything, if anything, he loses more than me by far... Suspicious...'

"Hubby, why do want to marry me? I contemplated the matter and you definitely don't gain anything from marrying me, well except for an awesome and beautiful wife. But other than that you're really losing out." Fan Hui seemed narcissistic but she knew the true worth of her versus Qing Shang.

Qing Shang placed one of her palms on top of his chest, laying it directly over his rapidly beating heart.

"I told you before, I love you, I love everything about you. There is no need to compare our values. You are worth everything to me." Qing Shang lovingly gazed into Fan Hui's eyes.
