The night was quiet.

"He's finally dead," The dark wizard sneered. He knew that the wolf cub hadn't fired the final spell, but that didn't matter for now. Dumbledore was dead and it was cause for celebration. The assembly around the table in the Malfoy Manner cheered. Draco Malfoy shifted uncomfortably in his seat. Becoming a death eater was not his choice, but after what he did in the past year, he had been 'gifted' the Mark on his left arm.

"Now," Voldemort stroked Nagini's head slowly, "I think we must now address the elephant in the room." The ghost behind Draco's chair stiffened. "Draco, you're hiding something from me." A bead of sweat trickled down the boy's neck. "Something about Perseus Jackson, I presume?" Draco's chest collapsed as he let out a breath.

"I'm sorry, sir," He mumbled.

"All is forgiven," Voldemort said, "If you tell me what it is." Draco gulped. Luke put a hand on his shoulder in comfort, assuring him of what he needed to say. This was going to change everything.

"He's a half-blood, sir." Draco replied, trying to keep his voice stable. "Dumbledore sent children of gods to protect Harry Potter."

The silence of the Manner was broken by the howl of frustration from the Dark Lord, but it quickly turned to maniacal laughter as a plan formulated in his mind.
