Kokichi's POV
I'm sitting in the cafeteria by myself, no surprise there but I'm watching Shuichi Saihara the ultimate detective sitting there with his friends and part of me wants to go talk to him but part of me can't seem to muster up the courage, wait what am I saying I'm the Ultimate supreme leader I can do whatever I want!

I get up from my table to walk up to him but then the bell rings and I a sigh of relief I start heading to class but lucky me I have class with Shuichi but doesn't mean I'm going to talk to him

I start heading to my seat as everyone else sits down and the teacher starts his lecture and of course I'm ignoring it but who cares anyway it's easy I just don't feel like doing it but then I hear the teacher "You guys will be doing a project go choose a partner" I ignore his announcement and just start day dreaming I already know no one is going to ask a liar like me

"Kokichi you don't have partner" I ignore his statement again "Can someone be so kind to take Kokichi in there group?" Now I'm intrigued as I look at the students trying to look away from the teacher to not be stuck with me and I know they all hate even...Shuichi

"I guess I'm going to choose the partners" then the teacher ungroups every and they all stare at me with venom in there eyes but I just smile and wave, Smile and wave boys, Smile and wave

Then the teacher starts grouping everyone again and I hear my name "Ouma and Saihara" my eyes widen, I have no idea what to do now

Shuichi'S POV
I realize I'm now partnered with ouma, I'm not that close to him since he seems distant from everyone and he lies A lot

I walk up to him "Hey ouma Kun I was wondering where you wanted to work together?"
"Nishishi You sure you don't want to ask the teacher for another partner since I'm dead weight" deadweight?!? "No of course not I don't mind working together I think it would be fun" I'm not sure what ouma is inquiries are but still I want to work him but j notice he's in slight shock but not to noticeable "Well whatever you want Saihara~Chan" "Saihara~Chan?!?!" My face starts to feel heated "Nishishi well it goes with your last name better or would you wanted me to call you my beloved?" "Beloved?!? I don't understand ouma Kun just call me Shuichi then" jeez what the heck is ouma up too "Ok then you call me Kokichi" the other boy says smiling "Let's talk when school ends at the courtyard since the period is about to end" i say trying to change the subject "Okee dookii" as I watch the smaller boy walk away when he bell rings
<<Time skip end school day>>

Shuichi POV
I'm waiting at the middle of the court yard for Kokichi and I kinda see him but there's a crowd of people waking since it's the end of the day and he's  very short but then I finally see him with a bruise on his face

Kokichi walks up to me "Heyoo Shuichi" I don't understand why he's so calm "What happened to your face?!?!" "Hmmm oh I was born this way" he said calmly "that's not what I ment I mean how did you hurt you face?!" I asked worriedly "Anyway where do you wanna go?" The other boy said without a care in the world, Why is he avoiding the question?!? I guess I should stop asking "hmm what about your place" I ask him but him eyes widen "NO" I was surprised with his quick reaction "I m-mean my house is a mess so it wouldn't be very functional to work in" he's clearly lying but again I don't question it "what about your place shuichi?" "Can't my uncle is busy with a case and has other detectives over and I don't want to disturb" "hmmmm then I guess we'll never get this done.... Oh well" he starts walking away but I grab him "No way how about we go to a cafe" then Kokichi eyes light up "Can it be a cat cafe!!" I look at him and he looks so excited and it looks adorable when he's excited "Sure" I say smiling satisfied with what I'm looking at then Kokichi blushes slightly and we start walking to the cat cafe

We get there and Kokichi instintly begins to smile and we walk in and sit down at a table "Do you like coffe Kokichi?" "Nope!~" I was shocked until he chimed in "Its a lie!~" "Jeez Kokichi why do you lie" that really was the true question but I heard him mumble "Because lies protect me" I was shocked with what he said but he clearly didn't want me to hear

The waiter came and we both ordered coffee, I ordered French vanilla and Kokichi ordered Mocha we started to set up for are project while having a little small talk then the coffee came and we started to work on the project we started to laugh at random stuff like how bad Kokichi's handwriting was, I learned that Kokichi is really Smart but pretended to be dumb
But I couldn't figure out why, there so much I want to learn about him if could give me the chance...

"Can we go pet the Cats now" he pulled the puppy dog eyes on me and clearly didn't work "we still need to finish Kokichi" I'm sounding like the buzzkill right now but it's for the best "Please Shuichi" he looked at me pleading as if his life was on the line "fine" I sigh and start heading to where all the cats are and we sit together on a small sofa and slowly the cats came to us

One of the cats went on Kokichi lap and and he started petting it then the cat started purring, it was a really cute sight I just wish I could take a photo of it. We spent an hour hanging out with the cats and then went back to studying

We finally finished are coffee and the project and started to pack up,he told me to hold the project since he would probably lose it, but I wish we didn't I wish we had more time I don't want this to be the only time I hang out with him I want more times

"Hey Kokichi would you like to study with me here every Tuesday and Thursday?" I looked at him with a stern face "Well I don't know Shuichi I have a pretty tight schedu-"
"PLEASE" when I looked at him he looked started but then he had the biggest smile with almost a tear coming out

"I'd love too~"
