Before the airplane ride
Emily's POV
When I got home my mom was drunk again and Conner and her were at the table.
"Dads gone" Conner said while looking at our mom with a sad face
"So what guy was never around anyway" I said
"Ih you don't know the half of it you dumb bitch" stated the drunk women
" mom what the hell" Conner asked
"Shut it Conner your sister is the whole reason he went away and the reason I hate life, you are such a good kid , but her, she is not outer child." She said while grabbing another beer
"Man oh man do I wish I wasn't born into the hell of a family." I said while walking into my bedroom
I took a look around my room and took a deep breath and only packed up the shit I thought I needed the most. I walked downstairs to a yelling Conner and mom asking where I was going. I flicked them both off and got in my car. I drove to the ihop the was next the the airport to drop off my car. My friend had her mom meet me there so that she could have the car I told her I was moving but didn't want Conner to find out where. I gave Her the car and walked into the airport and went to a random desk and asked for the soonest flight anywhere into New York.
" the next flight into New York is in an hour going to Syracuse is that okay?" Th man questioned
"Perfect" I said as I grabbed my ticket.
