" so where are you going" he asked me
"If I'm being totally honest I'm going nowhere. I kinda asked for the next possible flight into New York and this was it." I said kinda realizing what I've done
"Do you need a place to stay? I have a hotel room we can share" he said
"Are you sure? I could be out of your hair by morning and in my own hotel room" I said kinda hoping he would sat it's cool
"Well you are my only friend rn, I also don't want you sleeping at the airport." He said
"Come on I'll get us an Uber"
We got into the Uber that drive us to hotel with a hockey rink near by.
" wow that's cool." I said
"What's cool" He said looking up for kn his phone.
"Oh it is cool that is where the Syracuse Crunch play, he farm team for the Tampa bay lightning. They have a camp this week and it's open so I though I would come out." He said while kinda messing with a band on his wrist
"Hey" I said while grabbing his hand " you are going to do great, I'm sure of it" as we locked hands and exchanged smiles.
We got out of the care went to the hotel room to settle. We noticed there was only one bed.
"I can go ask for a room change" he grabbing the key card.
"I mean I don't mind sharing if it's going to be more money, I will be out of your hair by morning."
"No it's fine we will share, and you are staying with me! I don't want you to be alone. I would also enjoy the company." He said while putting the card down.
"Are you sure I really just don't want to be a bother I know how much hockey must mean to you if you are willing to move for it, Conner was always hesitant about that part of the sport." I said taking a seat next to him
"I am positive. I could really use a friendly face while I'm here. You for some reason calm me down. I like that about you." He said while placing his hand on my thigh.
"I'm glad I'm some sort of help." I said while we both broke into laughter.
We chilled together and got to know each other a little better. It was getting late so we decided to call it a night.
"Good night Emily" he said with a big smile
"Good night Anthony" I said with a equally big smile
Emily: snap out of it.... you can't fall for him
Anthony: I think I'm falling for her.
