As soon as we were home we all cheered, “Yes home!” I looked over at Mitch but he looked horrible. He looked pale, on his non-dark side, and looked like he was about to puke. He took one step but fell. Good thing I caught him. “You okay?” I asked him concerned. “Yeah just tired…” he said. He soon fell asleep in my arms.

I looked over at Jason and saw the worry on his face. “He did heal Jason and teleport all of us.” Adam said. I nodded and slung the sleeping Mitch over my shoulder.

We all got in our house and went to our rooms. I first went to Mitch’s to tuck him in. That sounds so wrong. After I tucked him in I stared at Mitch. “Oh, innocent Mitch, why did they have to kill you?” I said under my breath. I slowly left and closed the door. I went to my room and sat in front of my computer and decided to try and play Minecraft.

I broke wood, got achievements, and made a house. I looked at my house. It looked like I could build nice houses but I just needed more effort in making it. I decided to quit for the day and fall asleep.

“Sir, we found them but we lost them.” I said to our leader. He groaned, “How did they leave your grasp?” He said. “Well, the half-dark and half-light one used his powers to escape with his friends.” He turned to me, his eyes slightly red. “You could’ve removed all the shadows with light.” “I, um, I don’t…” I stumbled.

He smirked and turned around once again, “Don’t worry, and just try to make it hard for our test subjects when they enter the city. There, they will be discovered and abolished.”

After Jerome left Mitchell’s room I silently entered. There he was, why did this happen to us. I did have the good way because I can automatically control it but he can’t. I sighed and looked at his desk. There was a picture of him and his happy family and a picture all of us. Happy, that’s a property we used to have.

I looked at him one more time and went to my room to sleep.
