I scoffed at Wilford's remark, true as it may be. The song that had been playing ended, and a new more upbeat one started. Wilford grinned and quickly took my hand to lead me to the dance floor, "Oh jeez... Wilford, I can't dance!" He just rolled his eyes "Anyone can dance!" I took one last gulp from my Iced Tea before finally getting dragged into the dance floor

A couple ways from our table Wilford stopped pulling and turned to me with a smile, and started dancing. I had to admit, he's a great dancer. While I just awkwardly stood there, nodding along to the beat of the music and tapping my foot. He shook his head before taking my hands and basically showed me how to dance along, it was pretty fun.

I couldn't tell you how many times I lose track of time whenever I dance, but I don't think Y/N could tell how much time passed either. After dancing for most of the night, we went back to our table to finish our drinks "Wow, it's already 7:30..."

I simply hummed before standing up, Y/N looked up at me curiosly "I'll get us a refill" They simply nodded and turned their attention to their phone. Not lying, I went back over to the bar and got a refill on our drinks, but I also asked a favor from Dave

"Well, someone's pulling out all the stops!" he grinned

I rolled my eyes and made my way back to Y/N "Here you go!" Theu looked up from their phone and smiled "Thank you" I sat across from them and took a sip from my Martini "Y'know, in all honesty Y/N, I expected you to be completely drunk by now"

They laughed "Actually, me too..." I raised a brow "Have you ever been drunk before?" They bit their lip in thought "I think so..? I vaguely remember getting drunk before..." Suddenly the lighting of the club changed, and I knew this conversation would be cut short. I stood up from my seat once more and offered Y/N my hand, they looked at me confusedly before putting their hand in mine

Like earlier, I led them to the dance floor, only much slower this time. The DJ had played a slow song and many of the club goers had moved aside, only a few couples stayed. Y/N looked up at the speakers and smiled "I know this song..." To others the song may seem to be a sad one, but it's actually a love song. 'There Is Romance' by Kevin MacLeod was the song that I asked the DJ to play, or rather, I asked Dave to tell the DJ

Y/N had been humming along to the piano while we danced, and I started to hum as well

They looked at me in surprise "Wilford Warfstache, did you ask the DJ to play this song~?" I chuckled in response "I wanted to show you that I'm no mere club dancer"
