Once lunch was over, I returned to my desk. Dwight went out on a sales call and I decided to prank him. Pam was shocked when I told her. I barely ever prank him anymore.

I took the screws out of his chair and desk, then shoved them into one of my desk drawers.

When Dwight returned, I tried to act natural. As he hung up his coat, I turned to look at him. He actually.... smiled at me! it was rare when Dwight did that. He seemed to be in a good mood suddenly.

I began to feel flushed with guilt as Dwight made his way to our clump.

"Jim, I made the best sale toda--"

Dwight smiled as he spoke, throwing his brief case onto the desk and sitting down.

The chair collapsed beneath him as the desk fell into a pile of junk on the ground.

I stifled a laugh and glanced over at Pam, who covered her mouth as she softly giggled.

"gOD DAMN IT, JIM!" Dwight shouted, looking up at Jim from the floor. "What? I didn't do anything." I bit my cheek to stop from erupting in laughter.

Dwight's cheerful face melted into a familiar, rage-filled face.

I'll spare you the details of what came next.
