Chapter 6

A few days has passed after the reunion.

I just came back from taking a small stroll around the ward.

I took off my shoes when I spotted a pair that looked familiar.

I wonder if Urie is back...

I walked inside the Chateau.

Urie was sitting on the sofa while reading the newspaper.

No wonder I saw his shoes in the front door.

I made my way towards him.

"Urie! You're back!" I greeted with a grin.

Urie turned his head from the newspaper.

He nodded.

"Yeah."

I leaned in a bit.

"How's your kakuhou?" I asked in a quiet tone.

"For now, I don't really feel any different," Urie answered quietly.

Suddenly, we heard footsteps coming our way.

"L/N-chan, you're back!" someone greeted.

I quickly turned my head around to find Shirazu and Mutsuki approaching the living room.

"How was the walk?" Mutsuki asked with a smile.

"It was refreshing," I answered.

Shirazu gazed at Urie.

"Oh, Urie!" Shirazu greeted, "You're already out of the hospital?"

Shirazu and Mutsuki made their way towards us.

"I'm still not a hundred-percent healed, so I can't join the mission for some time," Urie said not moving his gaze from the newspaper.

Shirazu lowered his head closer to Urie's figure.

"Is that so? Geez, leave it to us and rest," Shirazu said.

Shirazu then patted Urie's shoulder as Urie glared at him.

Shirazu then laughed.

Suddenly, we heard a noise.

Mutsuki and I turned our heads to find Saiko peeking through the kitchen door.

She was eating an ice cream.

When Saiko saw us, she immediately panicked and closed the door.

I sighed and chuckled.

Shirazu straightened his body as Mutsuki faced him.

"Shirazu," Mutsuki said.

Shirazu looked towards us.

"Yeah..." he said getting the message, "But what do we have to do?"

"What happened?" Urie asked.

"The Suzuya squad managed to track down Nutcracker, but there was a problem," Shirazu replied.

"Starting from tomorrow, we'll be having an investigation with the Suzuya squad," Mutsuki continued, "So we can't let Saiko lock herself in her room every day."

Urie threw his newspaper towards the table before standing up from the sofa.

"Let's go to Yonebayashi's room," Urie said.

"Eh? But how?" Mutsuki asked.

Urie kept quiet as he went towards Saiko's room.

Shirazu, Mutsuki, and I followed.
