Chapter 11

"200..."

Nutcracker frantically searched for Mutsuki.

"200 million, where are you?" she said as she looked behind the desks in front of her.

"My 200 million..."

Suddenly, Shirazu fired his bomb-like shards towards her.

Nutcracker instantly jumped and successfully avoided the shards.

Shirzau scoffed as we ran towards her.

"Saiko, your help would be much appreciated!"

"W-What do I have to do?" Saiko asked as she hugged her quinque.

"Don't jump!" Hayashimura yelled to the both of us.

I quickly stopped.

But Shirazu already jumped into the air.

Suddenly, a kagune appeared from the roof and stabbed Shirazu's stomach.

Nutcracker laughed as Shirazu dropped to the ground.

She then aimed her bikaku towards him.

I quickly divided my quinque and cut her kagune.

Hayashimura then joined the both of us.

"She can detach her kagune and use it as traps," Hayashimura explained, "Be careful when you're around the roof and the walls!"

Shirazu got up.

"This one can also detach kagunes?" Shirazu commented.

"Yeah, and apparently she has a chimera kagune," I said, "A koukaku and a bikaku."

"Well then...!" Shirazu yelled.

He then released his shards and aimed them at Nutcracker again.

Nutcracker immediately used her spider-like koukakus to block his attacks.

Hayashimura tried to slice her, but she jumped right on time.

She then tried to squish Shirazu, but her dodged on time as well.

Nutcracker then aimed her bikaku towards Shirazu.

He barely managed to duck.

Hayashimura tried to slice her again, and she quickly jumped.

Nutcracker was about to land on me, but I blocked her foot with my quinque.

She then landed right in front of a crouching Shirazu.

Shirazu screamed when he realized that he almost got crushed.

Nutcracker laughed.

Hayashimura attacked her, and so she dodged him.

"Investigator Yonebayashi, give me support!" Hayashimura said before trying to attack again.

"What do I have to do?!" Saiko yelled.

I ran towards Shirazu.

"I was so close," he said as I helped him up, "So close to becoming a shirako."

"Yeah, good thing you survived," I said with a slight smile.

He then leaned into the wall for support.

Suddenly, the wall cracked and Nutcracker's kagune came out of the wall.

"That's really dangerous!" Shirazu commented.

"I bet a lot more of that were planted around here," I said.

"Don't tell me...?"

Shirazu then walked towards another wall before lightly tapping on it.
