Chapter 4

Your pov

"Is this entire Kingdom made of candy?" you asked  looking around in awe, 'I guess it was obvious, I mean it is called the Candy Kingdom.' but nothing could have prepared you for this

"Yeah, do you want some?" Finn asked looking at you

"Sure." you said full of excitement, you followed him down the front steps and down to a brick path, then he bent down and pulled a candy brick from the ground

"Here, it's side walk brittle." he said smiling as he handing it to you

You hadn't really had any candy in the orphanage so you took a hesitant bite. Your eyes got big as you ate the sweet candy

"This is delicious!!" you said eating more of it, Finn got this worried look on his face

"You can't eat the people!" he exclaimed

"What? I wasn't going to eat the people." you said confused as you stuffed the last piece of candy in your mouth, 'Eat the people? I'm not a cannibal.' you thought bewildered 

"Oh...Ok." he said with a sigh of relief as we started walking again

you observed all the intricate candy buildings and decorations until two little pink and blue blobs wearing bows walked by, you stopped and stared at them in shock

"The people are candy to!?!" you asked with your mouth hanging open, now you understood what he meant by "you cant eat the people."

"Yeah...." he said slowly with a worried face 

"That's....weird, and cool." you said remembering that talking dogs were a thing so why not candy people. He looked relived and you continued walking 'oh right, we're the only humans, so I guess everyone else is either candy or talking animals? I might as well be in candy land....Wait..... is this candy land??' You wondered as you passed through a drawbridge made out of toast, There were some yellow banana people with spears standing by the gate, they didn't say anything as you passed over the toast bridge. You saw Jake standing by one of the trees that were made of cotton candy.

"This is Jake." Finn said stopping by Him

"Ok, hi I'm y/n." you said in a wary voice

"Hi." He said

you looked to Jake and then back to Finn

"Ok so were is your house?" you ask trying to escape the awkward silence, both of them looked relived

"This way." Finn said walking off down a path 'He has a cute smile. what!' you thought mentally face palming. you and Jake followed behind him

Finn pov

We walked outside the castle doors and y/n looked out at the kingdom in amazement

"Is the entire kingdom made of candy?" she asked, I smiled at her enthusiasm

"Yeah, do you want some?" I asked

"Sure." she said happily. I led her down the steps and pulled out a piece of side walk brittle

"Here it's sidewalk brittle." I said smiling as I handed it to her, she took it and took a small bite, her eyes got as big as Susan's did, 

"This is delicious!" she said stuffing more in her mouth. Now she really looked like Susan. Wait

"You can't eat the people!:" I blurted out worriedly
