Soda's POV
It was the next day and I was sitting on the couch thinking about yesterday. I was suppose to be at work but I didn't end up going. I was watching Mickey Mouse because that's what was on, then Two-Bit walked in.
"Hey Two, hows it goin?" I ask
"Things are good, how bout you kid?"
"It could be better I guess...." I instantly regret saying that because I knew he was gonna ask why
"Well what wrong man? You can tell me."
"Eh it's nothing important really." I say trying to avoid explaining anything to him
"If there's something bothering Sodapop Curtis then it has to be important. C'mon tell me."
I think for a little trying to decide if I want to tell him or not.
"Well okay.....but you have to promise that you won't tell anyone!! Okay?" I tell him seriously
"I promise."
"A-alright well umm I took work off yesterday so I could go visit Steve in the hospital and when I got there they let me in his room and while we were talking and I could tell that something was wrong cause he was acting kind off so I asked his what was wrong and he said that he uhh..." I could barely finish the sentence
"Uh wait before I tell you this last part promise you won't get mad, please?" I ask him
"Nah I won't get mad kid, why would I get mad I couldn't be that bad."
"Okay well uh he said that he liked me as in like a love interest and umm I ran away cause I didn't know what to say and now I feel like a jerk." I finish off my story
"Well damn, do you like him back or no because y'all would be cute together if I'm bein honest here."
"W-wait you're not mad or anything?" I ask confused for a second
"No way, Love is Love and in my opinion anyone can love anyone it don't matter what gender they are. As long as you love them for them then that's love baby." He says as he messes up my hair and smiles brightly at me
All I did was hug him which he gladly accepted.
"So, do you love him?" Two asks again
"I-I don't know, maybe I do?? I'm kinda confused Two."
"Well let's talk it through, I mean we've made it this far so we might as well finish."
I'm so happy that he's letting me talk about this with him. Who knew that Two would be so accepting.
"Okay then, when I'm around Steve I get this odd feeling in my stomach and I feel like might heart my explode any second and when I see him hangin with other broads I get mad cause I only want him hanging around with me. Is that love Two-bit?" I ask and he gives me a big ass grin and says,
"Hell Soda of course that's love, you're in love with that kid!" He says excitedly
"So what do I do now?"
"Go to that hospital and tell him of course. You can't just leave him there. Go get yourself a man." He says about to push me out the door
"Ok ,ok I'm goin." I say as I slip on my shoes and start to walk out of the door but before I do I turn and tell Two-bit,
"Remember, don't tell anyone about this, alright?"
"My lips are zipped." He says as he pretends to zip his lips. I just smile and walk out.
Time skip
I arrive at the hospital and the doctor lets me into Steve's room. I walk up to him and he looks at me with both fear and sadness in his eyes. It looked like he had been crying cause his eyes were puffy and swollen and he looked really pale.
"Hey Steve...."
"Hi Soda...." he says back very quietly
"So uh I have something to say to you a-about yesterday." I tell him
"Y-yeah what is it? Are you gonna teller that liking you is disgusting and so am I? Or are you gonna tell me that we can't be friends anymore because if so then go on ahead because I don't wanna waste any of your precious time Soda and-
"N-no I wasn't-"
"-I sure as hell don't wanna be wasting any of mine. So go on tell me that I'm gross and disgusting and get the hell-"
I cut him off my pressing my lips on his probably harsher then I wanted to but it was okay because he kissed back which made me really happy inside. I finally pulled away and he looked at me shocked.
"I-I thought you were mad when I told you that I liked you?"
"No I wasn't I just had to figure a few things out and I talked to Two-bit about it, he helped me out a lot actually."
"Oh well I'm glad you figured it out." He smiled at me happily
"S-so are we like together now?" I asked
"If you wanna be then yeah, we're together."
"I think I wanna be together."
"Me too Soda." He gives me that big goofy grin again
I went silent for a few seconds until I finally said,
"Hey Steve?"
"Yeah Soda?"
"I love you..."
"I love you too Soda...." he said to me then he gave me a huge hug and kissed me lightly on the lips.
After that we just sat there and talked for who knows how long because all I was focused on was my love......
Y'all I got another chapter up, I'm so proud of myself for being more active!
