Cheshire And the Avengers

2 Training

I woke up early, my clock says 5:00.  I now live in the Avengers tower.

"Tea time!" A voice screeches.

I forgot!! Hatter's morning tea!! I run into the kitchen.  Hatter's sitting at a table.  His tea set is out.  Everything's ready.

"I'm so sorry! I forgot!" I yelled. 

A grumble came from behind me, I turn around. 

"Stevie!" I say.  I know all their names now.

" Sit down!" Hatter yells.

"It is time for tea!" I say, in my Cheshire voice.

He sits and grumbled.  Hatter flew a tea cup to Steve.

"Wha-" Someone else asks.

I turn around, and there's Tony.

"Tony!" I yelp. " Come join us, won't you?"

" What are you doing?"  He asks.

" Having tea." Hatter says, as if it's the most obvious thing in the world.

"It's five 10."  Tony grumbles.

" Steve likes tea at 5:10" I say. 

I turn around to Steve.

"Right Steve? " I ask.  He's asleep, lying in his plate.

"How rude!"  Hatter screeched.

I look at Steve disgusted.  How dare he hurt Hatter!!

" NO MORE TEA FOR YOU!" I scream.  Waking him up.

"Wha-?" He asks.

Two minutes later

The whole tower was awake.  Hatter was having tea by himself, Steve was on the couch, getting lectured by me. Every one else was complaining. 

" Why are you having tea this early?"  Natasha asked.

" It's tea time!" Hatter yelled.

" Hatter, let's go. " I say. 

Hatter gets up.  And I head to the door.  Hatter joins me. 

" You can't leave!" Steve yells. " You need an escort, so we can watch you!" 

" You hurt Hatter, he has every right to leave!" I scream.

We both head out the door.  Steve chases us out.

" I'm sorry, Hatter!" He gasps. " I'll go with you guys!" 

Hatters grin comes back.

"Let's go then, shall we!" He says. 

Later

"What's that?" Hatter asks.

" The Empire State Building."  Steve says.

We continue walking.  People stare at Hatter and I.  My hair and eyes stick out.  I've noticed that Steve will stare at me, every once and a while.

He likes you. Hatter says. 

Did I forget? We can also read minds, and I can  talk to him mentally.  He can to the same.

He stares at you like a mouse stares at cheese.

I laugh. And Steve looks at me, confused.

" Nothing."  I say.

Hatter and I both laugh.  And our grins show.  People stare and look away.  Embarrassed.  But Hatter and I aren't.

We walk up to what Steve tells us is Central Park.

We sit on top of a huge rock.  A little girl climbs up to us, he mother yelling at her.

" You're so pretty!" She says, looking at me.

" Ah, and what's your name?"  I ask.

Her mother looks very scared.

" I'm Lilly!" She squeals.

" LILLY COME DOWN!" Her mother cries.

" Let's go to your mom."  I say.

We climb down to her mother, who looks at me. 

"I'm so sorry! I thought you Where Someone else!"

" What's your name?"  Lilly asks.

" Cheshire. " I say.

The mother looks at me funny.

" Look what I can do!" She says, crossing her eyes. " What can you do?"

"Hmmm, well, I can do this!" I say, grinning my big Cheshire grin.

The mother looked horrified, and the little girl was amazed.

"That's so cool!" She squeals.

"Lilly, let's go!" The mother grabs her hand, pulling her away.

"Awww Mommmmyyy!!" The little girl whined.

I laughed, heading back up the rock.

"Crap." Steve said when I got back.

" What?" I asked.

" You guys have training today." He responded.

At the tower

We all walked into the tower. Steve brought us into the training area, where Eye patch was there.

"Ok, today we will have Hatter go first, Hatter, you're battling...." Eye patch looked around.

His eyes landed on Clint.

"Clint." He finished.

Hatter, not scared at all, went into the ring. The battle started. Nothing happened.

"Why is a raven like a desk?" Hatter asked.

"Uhh...." Clint started.

"Use your powers if you need to Hatter!" Natasha yelled.

"What do you own, but others use it more then you?" Hatter asked.

Clint looked confused.  He started to answer, but Hatter teleported, kicking Clint in the back of his head.

"It's called your name!" Hatter laughed hysterically.

"Ok, next!" Eye patch yelled as he wrote something down.

"Cheshire and.... Steve!" Eye Patch yelled.

I walked to the ring.  Unaffected.  Unafraid.

The battle began.  I teleported behind Steve, kicking his head.  He turned around, and I teleported away. 

He ran at my illusion, which I created.  I was invisible.  He kicked my illusion.  And it faded away.

"Hi!" I said, kicking him in the back.

He fell over. 

"Great work Steve!" Eye Patch yelled.  " You too Cheshire!"

"Thanks Pirate!" I yelled back.

Everyone stared at me.  And I gave them my grin.

Then, all but my eyes and grin turned invisible.  Hatter laughed, and I walked toward him. 

"Classic Chess." He giggled.

We both walked out the door with everyone's eyes on us.
