Taking tests can be nerve racking. Here are tips on how to take a successful test.

1. Follow the test preparation strategies from the last chapter.

2. Time management on times tests. Come 5-10 minutes early, have all your materials ready before test day. Skim test first and read all the directions carefully.

3. Test anxiety- BREATHE

4. More test anxiety- Come prepared and well studied

5. Even more test anxiety- Visualize yourself succeeding.

6. Text anxiety again- Realize that one test does not define you.

It helps me to remember that in the grand scheme of things, one test that didn't make your standards, is not the end of the world. Ten, twenty or thirty years from now, you will not care, you probably won't even remember.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't try though, you should always try your best. When you try your best, you feel good, you feel proud of yourself, even if you didn't get an A. Trying your best makes you the best by any test!
