Torture Method #1: The Blood Eagle
In this, the victim's back would be cut open and their ribs would be pulled through the broken skin and bend outwards, exposing their lungs and creating 'wings'. The lungs would be taken out, one at a time, until the victim finally suffocated. This method was use by vikings.
