Urban Legend #1: Thump. Thump, Drag
A teenage babysitter put the kids she was watching to sleep and went back downstairs. The late night news was on TV and the reporter stated that a psychopath from a local mental institution was on the loose and that he might be in the area. He cautioned locals to make sure all doors and windows were locked because this individual was dangerous. The young babysitter checked all of the locks, apart from the cellar bulkhead, which she forgot about.
Later that night, the children woke up to sounds from downstairs, but thought it was the babysitter moving stuff around. Then it got very quiet. All they heard for the remainder of the night was Thump, Thump, Drag.
The children were too scared to check what it was, and in the morning, the parents came home. The babysitter was found at the top of the stairs, dead, with both arms and legs hacked off. The noise in the night was her climbing up the stairs on the bloody stumps of her arms, pulling her badly injured body along.
Thump, Thump, Drag.
