Torture Method #4: Flaying
This is basically a fancy term for being skinned alive. During this, the victim has their skin peeled off very slowly with a sharp knife. Usually special care is taken to preserve the skin. This process leaves the nerves and muscles exposed, causing extreme agony and eventually death.
Some people also used to preserve the skin and hang it in their homes...
