'Nemo' means 'Nobody' in Latin. This means the title translates to "Finding Nobody", so theoretically, the entire movie was about a delusional father who was so traumatised about losing his family that he tries to search for his missing son, who isn't even alive.
A bit of a wilder theory in my opinion, but you never know...
