Escape

The clock drifts on

Their words melt together

Forgotten, unnessesary

I escape

To my place

By the mountains by the sea

The waves crash agaisnt my feet

Cooling away the burning sand

The colors of the sky

Like a living

Watercolor

Swirls and moves

I reach and touch

A small low cloud

I watch it ripple

Shrinking from my touch

I smile and follow

The tide

And let the waves

Take me in

I look down

The water never stings

My wide curious eyes

The rainbows of coral are smooth

To touch

The water shakes

And a ring pierces my ears

And then I come back
