Splatoon 2: Octo Rising

38. Present

Koy's POV:

Recently my mum has been in a very sour mood after our apology to Tess' family. That day we voted I head back home, she saw me and sent me upstairs where Rachel ended up messaging me. A few days later my dad noticed, talked to her and then a fight broke out.

I've been kicked out of the house every time I went downstairs so I don't know why the fight is there but it's been happening for a while and since I had nothing to do I bought a roller as a gift for Rachel, a figurine for Sora and since Luka never told us her interests I thought some chocolates would do.

I called them up and we all decided to meet at arowana mall like before.

The day we decided I got my Jacket, tumbled my legs through the stairs, got shouted at by the parents and then kicked out of the house. This wasn't my home anymore but I left it knowing I wasn't allowed an opinion according to my mum.

When I got to the mall I found the trio pretty quickly at the entrance.

"Koy, why so late?"

"My bad, I got these for you guys. Sora, since your new to the group I thought a figurine would help you figure out whether I'm a good guy or not."

He looked at the figurine and smiled, I could definitely see the glimmer in his eye so that present was good.

"That's sweet of you Koy...", Rachel turned to me.

"Oh, you too...", scrambling through my bag I got out the dynamo roller I bought, "here you go, you like rollers right?"

She saw it.

"Oh Koy, you shouldn't have."

She grabbed it and started jumping up and down in delight whilst screaming about training with it in the process.

"You forgetting someone?"

Then Luka was left, I handed her gift.

"Chocolates?"

"Meh, I feel like you went a little biased."

"Shut up, I'm strapped for cash..."

She took the gift and smiled before munching on the brown delicacies. Her present was a success as well.

After everyone had taken their time to jump, gaze and munch on their gifts I finally took it as my sole responsibility to ask everyone a burning question of mine.

"So guys. You all...wanna be a team for the splatfest this weekend?"

"YEAH!!!"

They all cheered, I smiled in delight but before we could move topic Sora looked up at me and spoke.

"I've heard nobody likes you, didn't you start a fight? Are you a shady boy my sister is hanging out with?"

"What if I am!", I joked.

"Get away from me!"

Luka and Rachel burst out laughing and Sora started having a sad but confused face due to everyone laughing for no reason to him. I walked to Sora and spoke.

"Your quite brace with words aren't you. But yeah, I did start a fight but me you and your sister are gonna end it."

"I don't wanna be a part of your gang and it's enemies."

"Don't worry, out 'gang' is a friendly one. We're here to help someone so...care to join me young man."

His eyes lit at finally being called a man. He must have noticed that I was for once, unlike anyone in the area, taking him seriously. He nodded his head vigorously and I smiled.

"ALRIGHT GUYS, THIS PLACE IS SAID TO HAVE A TRAINING SPOT AROUND HERE, WHO WANTS TO PRACTISE COMBO ATTACKS!?"

"ME!"

"ME!!"

"ME!!!"

Each sound was starting form a low tone to a high one starting from Luka, Rachel and finally the enthusiastic Sora.

Marie's POV:

Tess came over to me today at the sewer pipe and we both discussed the thing that I've been dying to tell her since this morning which was that the boss kettle had somehow been open for the third sector.

She peered at the kettle curiously and then finally looked at me with a serious face, knowing what I was going to say she begun to jump in until I pushed her back.

"Tess, I have some good news for you that I should tell you before you jump in."

"What's wrong Marie, can you not let me do this mission first."

"I'm gonna do what you've wanted me to do for ages. I'm going to tell you about me, and the squid sisters."

A breeze passed us and Tess smiled a little, surely now she was exited to do her mission now.

"Marie...in that case: I won't disappoint in this mission!"

"In that case, I'll be right here if things go too far."

"I've succeeded in the past, prepare to watch me do it again Marie because I am Tess, agent 4 of the squidbeek splatoon!!!"

She dug right into the boss kettle. I smiled and sighed heavily. Now that I had said that to Tess there was no going back.

Battle 3 was about to commence, then it was time for my backround check!

A/N: this was a short chapter for you guys but I'm just gonna hype up the next few chapters, these are the parts I've been waiting ages to write so get ready.

Concerning my next book that's coming out soon, I will say if you know any Naruto fans then definitely let them know (I know the chances of that are slim XD) and I'll publish that when I write the first 10 chapters. Anyway, it's gonna be time for battle 3 soon.
