Tess' POV:

After all was said and done, all I could do was look at Marie. She took notice of me and stared intently at me. The wind blew by. None of us had the heart or energy to chase after Callie. We just peered into each other. All of this took place, and the deafness of the situation was eerie.

"Knowing you, I thought you were going to punch me. I knew about Mask being Callie."

"I..." Nothing could be brought in my head. "I've either matured - or I've simply been shocked to a point where I can't take action."

She smiled knowingly. It was clear that both of us were brought into a different experience, so now it was impossible for any of us to feel intense emotion at this particular point. Upon further inspection, she took notice of my bruises and suddenly a grim expression was seen on her face.

"Tess, I've just remembered something of importance. Come along. We need to go to the hospital."

I saw it. A face of unreadable proportions. From what I could tell, she was trying to hide something. By this point I was tired of secrets, so clearly she should have known that. Before I could ask anymore about this sudden interruption however, Marie began to walk off in expectance that I would follow. And I did.

Marie's POV:

The drift of the cellar window shifted. It was not completely intended to be a cellar, but it really felt like it. In the patient room, The area was diagnosed with the looming sense of lost hope and it was apparent that a lot had happened in this room which we could not begin to fathom.

On the bed of the patient room, lay Zen. Me and Tess walked in. I inspected her face. Zen's breathing seemed stable. The sweat that previously would drool from her was now gone - proof she was attempting to calm down. Lastly, her eyes were not completely open, showing how her worry was still drifting in her thoughts.

"I know you're awake, Zen. You should get up. But don't make wasteful usage of this meeting by aggravating Tess just yet."

The girl beside me turned furiously. "Aggravate!?" I glanced at her direction, but soon Zen had gotten up.

"She's not wrong, Tess. What's up... hon?" There was a sense of lost hope in her voice.

"Hon? That's Rose's catchphrase. Who are you to steal it?!" Unfortunately, Tess did not yet figure this out yet.

"Sorry. I just felt nostalgia... that's all." A brief smile appeared but quickly faded. "It would help that I tell you this news whilst mentioning Rose, or else everything would be abrupt."

"Abrupt?" Slowly, Tess was catching up to the true atmosphere of the room. "Marie, what does she mean?"

My eyes shut. "Listen to her. Knowing you, I'd seem like a heartless bastard if I simply said this to you. I'd much rather that Rose's best friend told you this, especially since me and Rose never went particularly way back."

"Marie... Zen... what- what is going on?"

Everything fell down now. Suddenly, all the sounds in the world stopped. My feet maneuvered itself towards a chair. I sat. Nothing felt more horrible then watching the next scripture of events unfold.

"Zen. The floor is yours. You could say it forcefully or say it gently. Whatever picks your fancy, I guess."

"Can I not get a chair as well?" Tess waffled immaturely.

I shot a glare of a thousand foul evils towards Tess. In a sudden moment, she turned serious. It was as if she had both matured and lost maturity all at once. After settling her down, both me and Tess looked towards Zen.
