___________
A warm air hit you as you finally stepped into the Raccoon City Police station with Officer Leon Kennedy at your side. You glanced over to him as his blue eyes scanned over the area, your mind wanting to thank him for saving your ass multiple times. You wouldn't be alive if it weren't for the brave cop standing beside you. You were convinced it wouldn't be the last time he did, as the atmosphere still felt heavy around you which didn't make you feel safe at all.
"Hello? Is anybody here?" Leon called out, his voiced echoing as he approached the front desk. You peered around the interior design of the large, open space you were in, taking in the sight of the glossy floors below your feet. You felt your heart sink into your stomach when you saw blood stained foot prints scattered across the tiles.
"Where is everyone?" you questioned at the quick realization that the building had been completely isolated from the looks of the main hall. You approached behind Leon, peering over his shoulder at the camera monitor he was fiddling with.
"I couldn't tell ya," he replied with a sigh, his fingers hitting the keys of the keyboard in front of him. "There has to be someone here."
You leaned in more to get a closer look at the screen, your arm brushing against Leon's wet jacket. Shots transpired from the speakers as Leon clicked into CAM3. A male police officer had his gun equipped, firing bullets down the hall. You're heart began to race again. Those things better not be around here, too! you thought in frustration.
"Fuck. That's not good," you breathed next to Leon's ear.
"Marvin! I found a way out! It's in here!" the officer's audible voice shouted. A zombie staggered into view, its arms outstretched and ready to get a hold of the only other cop we've seen in this entire building.
He fired more bullets into the creatures chest.
"Send reinforcements! East hall way!"
Leon pushed himself off the desk in front of him, ready to take immediate action.
"I've gotta find that guy," he insisted as he looked over to you. "The door to the east hall is over there."
You glanced over your shoulder as he pointed past you, then looked back to him nervously. You were afraid he was going to leave you alone here because it'd be safer. No where was safe; there could be more of those things crawling around nearby and you wouldn't even know it! You knew Leon was aware of that too, seeing that his eyes were contemplating on what to do with you next.
You watched as he looked around, seeing his dark strands move swiftly with the turn of his head. You had to look up at him, as his height was towering over yours. You couldn't help but notice how young he looked for being a cop. He looked about your age, maybe a little bit older. His jawline was sharp and he was equipped with crystal, blue eyes that'd make any girl fall to thier knees. For a short moment, you thought he was cute. Really cute.
Bad time to be thinking that right now...
"Claire should be here soon," Leon continued, snapping you out of your thoughts. "Do you think you can hole up some where until she gets here?"
Before you could answer, Leon paced past you and approached behind the front desk. He dipped his head underneath before standing up straight, facing you again.
