Well, maybe that isn't entirely true.
I had just never given much thought to dying in such a way like this. Sure, living out here? Plenty of ways to go.
Missing the water when cliff diving, some wild animal attack, stumbling into some teenagers campfire on the beach...
With my luck it would be a combination of all three in one day.
But this? No one could prepare me for this.
I had never given much thought to how I would die, but dying in the place of someone I love seemed like the best way to go.
