*a few days later*

I wake up, thanking the lord that it was a saturday.

I lazed around in bed for a bit going through my phone.
I opened my Instagram when I saw I got added to a groupchat,

sophiabirlem- whoever's in the gc is invited to Tati and my bday party tomorrow night.
Show up anytime after 9 ;)

I scrolled down, seeing that she had invited nearly half the school.
I noticed that Johnny, Hayden, Jacob and the girls had all said they would be there, so I wrote an,"I'll be there too."
Hey atleast I have plans on a Sunday night.

I scroll through my dm's seeing one from Annie,

AnnieLeBlanc- heyy
AnnieLeBlanc- so asher and I were talking on the phone the whole night yesterday and he's so sweet!
 
A smile etches on my face as I type back,

   KenzieZiegler- that's great anns :))

AnnieLeBlanc- yeahh
AnnieLeBlanc- and I was actually thinking I'd ask him to come with me for Tati and Sophia's party..?

KenzieZiegler- he isn't in our school is he?

AnnieLeBlanc- nope he's in Riverdale high
AnnieLeBlanc- so whadya think?

I stretch getting out of bed and moving towards the window.
Johnny's window was open but he wasn't inside his room as far as I could tell.

I felt my tummy growling so I went downstairs to get breakfast. messy bun, scrunchy eyes, pj's and all.

I go downstairs to see Maddie sitting on the table eating a bowl of cereal.
"Where's mom?" I asked,sitting down and grabbing the carton of milk.
"Gone out somewhere with Greg." She replied dully.
"This early?" I question, pouring some lucky charms into my bowl.
"Kenz it's eleven am." She said
rolling her eyes.

"Sheesh someone's in a bad mood." I comment and she groans.

"Eddie's been hanging out with some girl called Kylie!" She complained, causing me to chuckle.

"You know what we need?" I suggest.
"What?" She says, sitting up straight.
"A day out. Let's go to Starbucks or something." I offer, mostly cause I'm craving a pink drink.

"Hmm not a bad idea."

We go upstairs and change.
At that moment exactly I get a text from my most favourite person ever.
Maisy Stella.
She's one of my childhood best friends.

Mais Mais- hiiiiiii
Mais Mais- I just landed in la
Mais Mais- and I'll reach your house in 5 mins
Mais Mais- it was supposed to be a surprise but oh well

I was so excited my hands were shaking when I typed back.
