"I just..." I trail off. "You just what?" His grip on my wrist tighten.
"I just want to forget everything... To forget this place, this pain... You." I say softly.
" W-what?" He stutters, his eyes widen in unprecedented shock. This cold, emotionless man with walls taller than the Eiffel Tower and stronger than any diamond, finally starts to break. His walls crumble slowly at just one simple sentence.
It's a bit funny when you think about it... That a bunch of sounds that had sounded great together could form something called a word and that word could form a sentience.... It's funny how a jumble of sounds, could mean so much. So much so that it could bring one mans world down in just a matter of seconds.
Tears from in his normally cold eyes. He didn't say anything. I didn't either. I couldn't even look at him. But he could look at me. This look was something new... It held pain and sadness. It held heartbreak. And I don't understand why.
