The suns vivid hues paint fluffy clouds as we watch from the cricket filled grass

Rolling thunder roars, as we splash through muddy streets, avoiding crash

Beautiful red and green colored strobe lights illuminate the basement while we blast our favorite jams

Selling lemonade to construction workers, because they somehow found our stand

Racing our scooters, bikes, and pet frogs was our main priority

Drawing scribbled chalk houses for the bugs, was our way to tell their story

Swinging high enough to make sure my toes covered the house, was all I was ever worried about

If only I understood how good I had it then
I would've savored it

without a doubt
