Whirring batons fly past her eyes
Blaring trumpets ring through her ears
Colorful fireworks swallow her brain
Cascading thoughts wrinkle her tears

Life is a show
Sprawled out for display
"Join us on the road,
To suffering pain!"

"We will parade,
We'll smile,
We'll dance,
We'll sing!"

"We will do this all mindlessly
Controlled by greedy strings
That crick in our minds
And prick at our brains"

"Come join us today
For a large copay!"

They beckon and call
They don't wither or crawl
A suggestion isn't present
Demands are what stall
She tries to run away, to be wild and free
Yet all she can do is fall speedily

Into the captivating world of torture
Where men and women promote distorters
All people do is suggest grand parades

All life's parades do
Is bring suffering and pain
