Alaska is dead and Miles is hopelessly trying to cope with having to live without her from now on. He is angry at her as she showed him the wonders life can present him and now she left him stranded, not knowing where to go from there. Miles feels hopeless without her. He is angry at the universe for showing him Alaska, who helps him on his way to finding the sense in life, and then taking her away from him, leaving him just as clueless as before.
