it always shocked me when I realised that I wasn't the only person in the world who thought and felt such strange and awful things.
I think it's very common to feel alone when conquering new territory or even topics society doesn't really talk about. May it be starting university or having depression, which I both experienced personally, I felt like I was the only one not knowing what to do. The only one who was experiencing these feelings and for all the others it was working out. It was a feeling of floating in an endless lake, having no land and no control over where I wanted to go or no orientation where I should go. But honestly, and I know it sounds stupid because everyone says it, talk to others. There's a 100% chance that other's experienced the same feelings that you feel even if you are convinced that they don't or can't.
