[#Epilogue]
The Secret of change is to focus all your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.

One sunny evening we all went out together and as the sun set we each got a lantern. We were going to commemorate the ones that we had lost. I was standing aside watching everybody laugh together and goof around. Ash and Elisia, Jai and Tessa, Rowan and Trevor and Brandon they were all here. Brandon looked over and grinned before walking toward me. "I enrolled in boarding school," he said as he put his arms around me.
"You did?" I asked grinning up at him.
"I wanted to finish high school. I made a deal with my dad. Some beautiful babe once reminded me that I had choices in life," Brandon said leaning down.
"She sounds like a keeper," I said grinning at him.
"Oh she is," Brandon said before pulling me into a short kiss.
"Hey you two love birds come on these two are for you," Trevor said holding up two lanterns. We both grinned as we headed toward Trevor and as the sky became darker we released the lanterns into the sky. There was one for Dunbar, and elisia's parents, for Raven, and for Nicki. We all stood together staring at the sky and I felt Trevor wrap one arm around me and one arm around Brandon.
I looked at Trevor and grinned before placing my head on his shoulder. "You know Aspen I don't think I ever told you but you're the best pseudo-sibling a guy could ask for," Trevor grinned and I couldn't help but let out a laugh.
"Thanks," I said. We all went home and waited for what was to come next. The days passed quietly and I couldn't help but feel ecstatic about that. We were finally able to live a somewhat normal life. Brandon and I hung out more, I got to spend time with everybody without worrying if I was going to die and I felt like a new person. I was currently sitting in my room reading a book.
Brandon was laying at the end of my bed messing with fishy. "Am I ever gonna get him back?" Brandon asked looking up at me. I lowered the book with a grin.
"Not in this lifetime buddy," I laughed and he rolled over. He tossed fishy to the other side of the bed and crawled up until he got to where my book was. He grabbed it and tossed it aside and I pouted. "Hey I was reading that," I whined and he just grinned before kissing me. I smiled into the kiss and I snaked my hands into his hair.
His hands went under my shirt and I almost moaned at the feeling. "Would you like me to continue?" He asked against my mouth.
"Yes," I breathed out and that was all he needed before he pulled my shirt off as well as his own. We went back to kissing, his mouth rough against mine and his hands soft against my skin. His lips left my mouth and left a hot trail along my neck. I moaned as he kissed down my chest. And let's just say we had a very exciting night and I couldn't have asked for a better boyfriend.
