( RED-ASH FOREST: HISTORY )

The legends say that the Blackwood was one to appear along with the First Men. They fought alongside them when the rise of conflict with the Children of the Forest. After the war, Cassian, who was the Blackwood lord at the time, built the castle that started the Blackwood legacy, but as the years went on signs of the supernatural started to occur. Cassian was the first to turn into a wolf and so did his children, and that was when he took his people and went into the forest no dared to come into. The forest had tall, black trees and went on for miles that if you didn't know where you were going you'd get lost. Cassian built another castle in the forest and started a whole new life where all supernatural beings would feel safe. He named the forest Red-Ash Forest because every once in a blue moon the leaves turn red, and sometimes they bleed making the whole forest red, or sometimes red ash falls from the sky.

Now legend has it that the ruins of the old Blackwood castle still remain, and it also said that the family had come to a tragic end. Others believe that they are still alive and that they went beyond the wall. Nobody knew where they were, and if people went into the forest they wouldn't come out. They couldn't risk being founded because most likely they are going to be hunted and wiped out. For thousands of years, all of the wolves lived underneath the rule of the Blackwood family, and they've been safe from harm.
