Zero POV

I stare at Kid. They really came for me? He came to get me back? "Mom? Should we take them out?", Sabo asks, looking up at me from my lap. "Its alright darling. Can I get up please?", I ask, brushing through his damp blonde hair. He nods, allowing me to get up. I walk closer and closer to Kid, then stay right in front of him. "Why should I?", I ask him, "You disrespected my family. I repeat myself. I value each and every one of my boys more than anything else in the world. And I will always watch out for my little brothers. I get it that people are sceptical and ask questions as to why a 26 year old is called mother by more than 8000 men who mostly are older than her. It doesn't matter how old we are or how different. What matters is the feeling of a family. Of the warmth of a home. I warned you that family goes first. You don't listen well, do you?", I ask him, noticing him get pissed. Suddenly his arm grabs me and lifts me up so we are face to face.
I'm sitting on his mechanical glove and stare him dead in the eyes, not showing my surprise. "Come back please.", he repeats himself. His amber eyes focus onto mine. Like a golden flame dancing over charcoal. "What do you have to offer?" "A nice cosy room with a new bathroom so you don't have to use mine or Killers..." "Mhm. I'm listening." "Teriyaki chicken until you collapse." "I'm slowly getting interested." "Your favorite liquor, absinthe." I raise my eyebrows. "Me."

X POV

"Oh. You are also on the list alright. Still not en..." "We have a board cat now."

Every man in the entire castle immediately knows they have her back.

"Really?"

Killer demonstratively lifts up a fluffy red cat.

"Kyaaaa! Kawaii!!! My new favorite baby!", she squeals making a dive towards the animal when two strong arms catch her. "Am I forgiven?", Kid asks and she chuckles. "More than that. I'd marry you!", she tells him and to all of their surprise including the red head himself she kisses him, making him blush like a madman, before running over to the blonde first mate. "A baby! What's your name my darling?", she coos at the kitten and rubs her nose against the small rosy snout. "It doesn't have a name." "I shall name you Shanks!", she decides, "So I have a son named Shanks who is not an alcoholic." "Mom!", the human Shanks protests much to the other mens amusement while the cat one purrs and curls into her arms. A happy and relaxed smile taking over her features. "Cats. I love cats.", she smiles happily. "Can I pet him?", Ace asks. "Sure. Right Shanks?" "You really meant that?!" The one armed man yells shocked and hurt. He stumbles over. "But mom I thought you loved me." "But look at little Shanks." She squishes her cheek against that of the cat who is still purring loudly. "He is perfect. Be honored that I keep a cat you around me all the time.", she scolds human Shanks who only nods, but after enduring her lecture earns himself a kiss in the cheek, instantly making him happy again. She places the cat onto her shoulder where it sits like in old books a bird would do. 
Smiling she looks at Kid who is still blushing. He cups her face with one hand, tilts up her chin and kisses her himself now. "Get dressed, woman. I don't like other men seeing you like this.", he tells her and she chuckles. "Its a bikini darling. I'll put on a wrap around skirt but that's it." "How about a dress?" "Nope.", she giggles, grabs the sheer fabric that looks more like a scarf, creating a skirt for her. "Now boys. How about we show them how our family parties, eh?" "Yes mom!", the men cheer, raising their beverages or their fists or their food.

The Kid pirates stay closer to Zero for comfort reasons. Being surrounded by the pirate elite is slightly intimidating after all. Even for them. "Oh. You guys have to meet Mihawk!", Zero says and grins widely. "Mom do you know where I can find a bathroom?" "Oh? Are you alright Dom? Right over there the first door on the right.", she tells the Whitebeard pirate that stumbled in front of her. "Just need the toilet. Thanks for worrying mom." He kisses her cheek and chases away. "Ah. There he is! Mihawk!" Said tall man walks closer. He really is intimidating. "Mom?" "May I introduce the crew I belong to? My captain Eustass Kid, the first mate Killer, these boys are Heat and Wire and this is...." She introduces each member, then her new cat. He smiles at her, wrapping his arm around her. "Hurt her again and I'll make sure to hunt you down and kill all of you.", he tells the Kid Pirates and Zero beams. "Isn't he such a great son? So caring!", she cheers. "Ah. Mom. Let's play find her favorite!", Law who appeared out of nowhere grins. "Find her favorite?" "It's a game we created and till this day haven't won. We are trying to find out who her favorite son is."
Zero is lifted up and placed onto a chair. "Alright. Start." "Is he tall?" "Yes." "Tall like Whitebeard?" "No." "Tall like Jozu?" "No." "Tall like Jimbei?" "No." "Tall like.... Kid over there?" She looks at him. "He is really tall isn't he....? No." "Tall like me?", Mihawk asks. She grins. "Yes." He smirks back, knowing all too well that he and Law are her favorites. "Alright. He is Mihawks height.", the men cheer. Law steps to the front and deadpans. "Is it Mihawk?" "Yes and no.", Zero grins. "Mom! What is that supposed to mean?!" "That mom has two favorites!", she laughs. Mihawk meanwhile sips his wine calmly. Law asks through name after name and she always answers with no. "But there is no one left!", he says with a raspy voice from all the names.
"Idiot! You didn't count ye'self!", somebody yells. "Is it me?", he asks. "Yes.", she smiles softly and he quickly skedaddles (A/N: "I needed to use this word for him to ruin his serious personality because of a personal vendetta after reading horrible things about him in fanfictions...." *suddenly in blue orb.*"Shambles. Suffer you idiot! What the hell do I have to do with what other people write about me?!" "My head is now attached to my hands and my ears are legs and legs are ears. It was nice knowing you.") over to the female hugging her tightly. She grins as she rests her head against his. He had come so far and she was immensely proud to have him in her life.
