Y/N looked at her reflection in the water. It was like she had been transported back in time to when she first visited Zora's Domain. She was wearing a F/C dress, with her hair in an intricately done braid. She kind of missed the way her face was covered in mud and the feel of her worn out tunic against her body. She felt normal. But now, she felt as she did many years ago. She felt trapped.

"Y/N, we need to go now," Link had spoken,"you look...beautiful." He said. She smiled sadly,"Thank you."

"Are...you okay? You were just staring at the water for a while." He put a soothing hand on her shoulder.

"I suppose. I just feel like I did all those years ago. Like I've got a name to uphold and a kingdom to rule. Like I'm drowning in expectations," A single tear fell down her cheek. She turned away from Link, hoping he didn't see.

"You don't have to feel that way anymore. You've got me," He took up both of her hands in his own. Link had been cleaned up nicely. Not a speck of dirt could be seen on him. He was wearing a green Hylian Tunic and his hair had been brushed into a neat ponytail, his golden bangs framing his handsome face. He had never worn green before, but it was definitely his colour. Y/N looked into his cerulean blue eyes.

"you've got me," He repeated,"and you won't lose me. You waited 100 years to see me again, Y/N. I would do the same for you. I know that I may not remember much about you or anybody else, but I do know that you were- you are- very important to me. Y/N, I-"

"Ahem," Somebody cleared their throat,"My father is ready for you both. Please follow me," It was Sidon. Y/N gave Link a sad smile he returned it, not letting go of her hand.

The Throne Room was now decorated with eccentric decor, all in various shades of blue. There was now a long table in the middle of the room displaying different types of foods- though it was mainly fish. Sidon guided Link and Y/N to their seats. Much to Y/N's dismay, she was sat next to Sidon, across from Link. She sat down awkwardly.

"So, Y/N. I'm sure you're aware of what we need to discuss." King Dorephan said.

'Oh, Goddesses, already? I knew this was coming...' Y/N thought. She took in a breath and sighed, showing a fake smile toward the Zora King.

"Yes, it was definitely a long time coming. And I apologise wholeheartedly."

"Well, it's no matter. You're here now, and with Link! Perhaps our Domain can be saved after all!" Dorephan exclaimed. Y/N fiddled with her hands beneath the table.

"Yes, well. Um, about that.."

"You sounded anxious, my dear. There's nothing to fear from us. Though many of the Zora have not forgiven Hylians for the loss of our dear Mipha, we have forgiven your kind. The Calamity did not strike without taking some from you as well," Y/N could feel Link's eyes on her,"but. That is all behind us. As for our troubles with the Divine Beast, that is something that must be sorted."

She felt a weight lift off her shoulders,"Ah, yes. This rain must be a nuisance by now, I'm sure. What do you think is corrupting it?" A fried fish was placed onto her plate. She could only smile at the server apologetically; she despised the taste of fish.

"I'm almost certain it has something to do with that Calamity Ganon. It seems that not only has our Vah Ruta corrupted, but in fact all of the Divine Beasts have. Link," King Dorephan said, gaining said Knight's attention,"you and countless others have fallen to this Calamity, yet you are back. Please, for me and our dear Mipha, get rid of it once and for all!" Link gulped down what was in his mouth awkwardly. Y/N gave him a soft smile.

"Of course, your Majesty. I'll do anything to help," Link said confidently. At least that part of him hadn't been forgotten: courage.

"My boy, I have something to give you. Sidon, if you please." Dorephan gestured to the Zora Prince sat beside Y/N.

"Yes, Father," Sidon said, grabbing something from the vacant seat on the other side of him,"here you are, Link. It was crafted by my sister, especially for you. And, Y/N. I hope you don't mind, but I made something for you, too. Back when we were, well, betrothed."

Dorephan saw Y/N's face pale at the word,"Oh, don't fret my dear! All that is behind us, no worries."

She nodded, and turned her attention to Sidon. He was holding out two navy blue tunics, both emblazoned with scales.

"Oh my, they're lovely. Thank you!" Y/N took hers from Sidon's hands. It was smooth, and looked very waterproof.

"We figured you'd both need them," Sidon gave his signature pose,"it's time to take out Vah Ruta!"
