Bella's POV

I have my head leaned against his shoulder while one of his arm is around mine as we sat on the beach sand and watch the waves of the ocean. His mere presence feels comforting, even if no one was speaking I could feel the contempt in my heart.

Kahit naman noong nasa Canada pa kami ay lagi akong nagpupunta sa beach kasama ang ex ko. Ganito din kami, pinapanood ang mga alon at ang mga kalalakihang nagsu-surfing. Masaya naman pero hindi ganito. Ibang-iba ang pakiram ko ngayon habang kasama ko si Russell. Kahit na tahimik lang naming pinapanood ang mga alon at walang nagsasalita ay masayang-masaya ang puso ko. It must be that bond thing. Although I'm pretty sure I'm still attracted to him even if we're not mates.

"What are you thinking?" I felt him move his head to look down at me.

"Nothing." I lied, I'm not about to tell him that I am remembering my ex boyfriend.

"Are you sure? Cause I think I heard your heartbeat increase a little." We are now alone in the beach and he had spread a blanket on the sand.

"Huh? Pati ba pintig ng puso ko naririnig mo din!" Gulat na tanong ko dito. Kung ganon' naririnig niya ang pagkabog ng puso ko sa tuwing nakikita ko siya at sa tuwing kinikilig ako. That means he know how much effect he have on me and for sure he can hear how loud my heart is right now.

"Yes." Maikling sagot nito at saka napatingin sa pisngi ko. "You're blushing."

"No, I'm not." I lied for the second time.

"Really? Cause I don't think I'm seeing it wrong. You know our eyes adjusts at night to see clearly." He mocked.

Bahagya akong lumayo dito at tinignan ito ng masama. "You can hear my heartbeat and now you can see clearly at night? Sometimes I wish I am a werewolf too."

Umismid ito at napasinghal ako nang bigla nitong nilapit ang mukha sa akin at hinawakan ang baba ko. "Right now, your heart is beating even faster and I wonder what will happen if I kiss you."

Napalunok ako at napatingin sa mapupulang labi nito na tila ba ginagayuma ako. Ramdam na ramdam ko din ang mahinang kuryente na habang unti-unting dumadausdos ang isang kamay nito sa leeg ko. I felt very weak at that moment. Nasan na 'yung matapang na Bella? Isang gwapong lobo lang naman pala ang katapat ko.

Pinagmamasdan lang nito ang mga mata ko habang hinihintay ko ang susunod nitong gagawin. Nang hindi na ako makpagpigil ay ako na ang humalik dito. Magkalapat parin ang mga labi namin nang mapagtanto ko kung ano ang ginawa ko. Mukhang hindi rin nito inaasahan ang ginawaka ko. My eyes were wide at my boldness and before I could break the kiss, he grabbed the back of my head and deepened it. When his lips started to move against mine, it was like the small sparks and tingles just erupted in my body and it felt so damn good that I couldn't help but close my eyes and tilt my head as I kiss him back.

I moaned and he replied with a loud groan and I heard a growl from the back of his throat when I circled my arms around his neck. He nibbled on my lower lips and I took it as a cue to open my mouth and grant him entrance. We kiss for a very long time with the sound of the waves in the background.

"I love you." He whispered, looking between my eyes. I think my heart just stopped beating the same time he said those words. Did I even hear it right? Am I hallucinating? My heart in going wild like it's the first time I heard those words. I think I'm being bewitched.

I was about to open my mouth to give him a reply when he pecked my lips to stop me. "You don't have to answer. I can wait."

And so I did. I only said a simple thank you and sat back up and tried to calm my raging heart. I could still feel the tiny tingles on my lips from that kiss.
