Wow.

Just, wow.

I can't even remember when I started this story. Although I uploaded the first part in 2011, the journey originally began on pen and paper. It had to have been in middle school, with how embarrassingly weak my original plot had started out. No offense to middle schoolers, but as a grad school student now, I can attest to the fact that SO many things change - including your very own perception of reality.

With that said, this isn't the end of SHRH. I will be going through and  c̶r̶i̶n̶g̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶a̶t̶ editing the entire book as time permits. With how much my writing style has changed (as evidenced by my current works), I do think there will be major edits in plot, characters, and even names.

There is still an epilogue to come, so please stay tuned!

I'd like to sincerely thank all of you, especially those who have been with me through this long journey from the beginning. There were times when I didn't update for months on end and I'd come back to see recurrent notifications from previous readers. Nothing was ever more reassuring than seeing your familiar usernames under my notifications - thank you for taking the time to vote and comment on my humble work. You have no idea how lucrative those small actions were to bring me all the way here. Who knows what abyss the story of Evelyn and Ashton would have fallen into, otherwise.

Meanwhile, if the topic still interests you, I am currently working on books that take a modern spin on arranged marriages in the world of billionaires and the mafia. Check it out on my profile! I'm also experimenting with heavier themes - very different, I know, but my writing has just changed that much and I want to test how versatile it can really be.

Hopefully it doesn't take years to finish them like this one, now that I know to have a framework in place before jumping into an idea haha!

Perhaps after all the editing, there might be room for a sequel, if there's any interest. I think there's so much potential for the #Ashlyn couple in parenting, or kicking it back and handing over the reigns to the next generation. Or even a prequel delineating just how much they hated each other's guts before their marriage of convenience. Who knows?

If you had the time to make it to the end of this obnoxiously long note, then I'd love it if you could spend just a few more seconds and comment your thoughts and opinions, even constructive criticism.

Forever grateful,
