Person A decides to learn a new language that they know Person B doesn't know how to speak, and as they slowly grow more fluent, begin to say little compliments to the other.
Things like, "I really like your new haircut," or "you're really adorable," much to the others chagrin. However, Person B thinks that the other is insulting them, so without the others knowledge they begin to slowly learn the language as well.
They turn bright red and choke on their spit when Person A admits openly that they love them, or drops a particularly dirty comment.
The cycle ends when Person A shyly confesses back to Person B when they have finally gotten a good grasp of the language. (And because they can only become so red so many times without getting suspicious).
