i miss you

i hope that you
know when i am
alone with my thoughts,
awake at night,
you're the one i
want there to
make it all better.

with your protective hugs
i never got to feel
or your warm laugh
i never heard
and your charming smile
i never got see
but only hear about.

and i hope you know
that with every passing
second, minuet, hour,
i miss you even more
than the last.
